My First Week at Hogwarts
Chapter 2
Hey there everybody! Ivy here, a First-year Student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and I am writing this to chronicle my adventures here at Hogwarts and, hopefully, get lucky enough to make friends with some of you guys here reading this. So, my first week here has been great so far!! I've already made a few friends, and I love all of my Professors; they seem great, though that may change during the year. Unlikely since I always tend to love my professors, but you still never know.
I am currently taking all of my First Year classes; since I joined halfway through the learning year, it is important for me to catch up with everything quickly so I can be on par with my peers. The classes are so much fun, though, as when I was younger (I'm 20 now), I always wanted to go to Hogwarts, but unfortunately never got the chance. However, I finally have received the chance and intend to make the most of it. If I'm lucky, I might even get the chance to work for the school after my studies; that would be fun!
I think it would be great to work as PA and get the chance to interact with future students and help them learn the ways and joys of magic. I don't know what class yet, but maybe once I'm in my Third or Fourth year, I'll know for sure. As of now, it's probably just important to focus on my studies, learn what I can, and become the best possible witch.
Oooooooooh witch, now that's a term that rolls off the tongue. I have been dipping my toes into muggle witchcraft for some time now, and while it is great and calming, it does miss the feel of wizarding magic. Anyways, I'm kind of rambling off there; I bet you want to know what I think about the school.
Well, Hogwarts is as impressive as I could hope for it to be. I keep getting lost, though, making it a bit difficult to get to some classes on time. Luckily though, the professors have been understanding, and I haven't gotten in trouble for showing up late. That probably won't last very long, though, so I should probably try to find a map of some sort of where all the classrooms and such are. Oh, that's right! I forgot about this!
Ivy digs around in her knapsack hanging off her chair, and flips through the mass of books and papers, trying to find what she is looking for. After a few moments, she holds something up triumphantly.
Haha! Here it is! Someone handed this to me when I first got here, and I completely forgot how busy this week has been getting from class to class and doing the homework. I do not want to forget this again so that way I can hopefully actually show up to class on time.
So besides all of that, not much has been going on during this first week. I've really enjoyed Defence Against the Dark Arts and Astronomy, though Transfiguration and Potions will also be fun. Oh, but we can't forget the History of Magic and Charms. Oh, they're all just so great, well, except for flying, that is. I'm scared of heights and don't do well with them, but hopefully, I'll be able to get over that before too long.
Anyway, I think I will call it a night; I have been really busy with homework, and I am tuckered out. Still not used to running all over the place to get to places on time, but I'm sure I'll be in shape in no time. See you guys later! <3
