Hi! These are my notes I've taken throughout the year one astronomy course taught by Professor Robert Plumb. I hope they help in some way. 

Lesson One: 

Astronomy - The study of the universe. Observing celestial bodies, theorizing how objects in outer space, how they formed and deducing the chemical makeup of these bodies. 

The quiz for this lesson is really easy multiple choice that you can answer just from reading the lesson text so don't worry. The essay is about your experience with astronomy so I can't give you any notes for that one unfortuantly.
