Rosie was ready to go to Sienna’s
cave to confront her but she didn’t need to. Along the way she saw Sienna
swimming around munching delicious seaweed sandwiches! Sienna was very cross
that day because she had been bit on the tail by a crab she had been trying to
make friends with. Poor Sienna! She had no friends because everyone was afraid
of her. But Rosie didn’t know this so she boldly went up to Sienna and asked
him to give her the lovely pearl necklace back. Sienna didn’t like the look of
this beautiful mer-girl so she refused. This made Rosie angry and she was about
to shout when she remembered what Octavia said. So Rosie said “ Sienna, I feel
very sad without my pearl necklace and quite cross that you took it without
asking, please give me it back.” To her surprise Sienna suddenly burst into
tears! “Oh” she wailed, “ I only took the necklace for something to talk to,
I’m so lonely, everyone’s afraid of me!” Rosie was very sad to see Sienna so
upset, she understood how Sienna felt, so she did a very kind thing and let
Sienna keep her necklace. “ Thank you so much” gasped Sienna when she’d stopped
crying.
