So. The pool I usually swim at for my club team was closed for matinence. So they went to a school´s pool.

Now remember this school is a private catholic school. They are known to be crazy good in the sports field as well as academics. I was told that their pool wasn´t the best a little while back. BUT, because they are an outstanding school, I thought that their pool just wasn´t up to their standards.

I. Was. Wrong.

Their pool was 6 lanes. 25 yards. (so it was decent i guess.) BUT IT WAS IN THE SMALLEST POOL ROOM I´VE EVER SEEN. Like guys, I kid you not, we were actually dying because of it.

So, clorine (which is in pools) is a deadly gas. But by mixing it with other chemicals it is deluded. So it doesn´t hurt us. BUT. I have been to some pools where there are higher clorine levels. R.I.P. your eyes if your googles fall off in those pools cause that is a ton of clorine. But here´s the thing. Those pools were in, as to be expected, large spacey rooms. So the clorine in the air doesn´t bother you.

BUT in the pool I swam in the other day....It was HIGHLY clorinated and, like i said, in a very small room for a pool.

So in conclusion. We were actually dying. Like everyone was coughing by the end of practice. We went OUTSIDE. At night. In the rain. To BREATH. And one of our coaches had the audacity to call us dramatic. One girl was almost puking.

Guys I´m not joking don´t go to places like that. It SUCKED.

But, in case you guys do get stuck in that situation i have good news. The clorine will not kill you. It will make you cough and it will make your throat sore. My dad got us McDonald´s after and the smoothie (cause the ice cream machine was broken :/) helped my throat a LOT. So, after being in a place like that, milkshakes and smoothies will help a little bit.
