The absolute best thing is happening soon. For me at least.

So, in 2020, I had the opportunity to trvel for a swim meet. This was AMAZING. Especially considering that I was stuck on an island. And hadn´t left in YEARS. (long story)

BUT, covid hit right after spring break. So, the meet got cancelled. Ever since, I have always tried to do a travel meet. It´s been a goal of mine. A lot of my friends get to, but I don´t. Usually its because you need REALLY fast times, or because the sign up had passed by the time I heard of it.

For those of you who dont know, a travel meet is where we get to travel, either by flying or driving, and go to a meet usually 6+ hours away. You get to stay in a hotel, have fun with friends, and obviously the meet.

SO. Last week, my friend came up to me and said, do you like open water. (Open water is long course swimming in a lake btw) And I was like YES. cause I did it last year. She was like GREAT. Because there was a open water travel meet coming up. And they needed more girls to go. I was like ???? Really? So I told my mom, who pretty much handles all of schedualing in the winter between meets for highschool and club. And she was like, let me email this person who knows about it. I was excited. Eventually the lady emailed back saying that I could register. My mom signed me up. I was practically jumping up and down. Then I remembered that it was sign up to be considered. I knew that if they looked for times that I wouldn´t stand a chance at going. (cause my open water and long distance times SUCKED) My mom said that if they would let me go, that they would email her with how to pay and all that.

2 or 3 days ago, my mom gets an email. They told her the price and ways she could pay. I was asleep. When my mom woke me up, I woke up to amazing news. I was going on a travel meet. BEST news of the day.

Anyway, I have just under a month to train for this. I´m honestly really excited. I have waited AGES to go on a travel meet, and now I finally can.
