The vision: chapter 1: the letter. Summary: follow Casey Freeman through her seven years at Hogwarts. On the night before she is due to arrive she receives a vision of what will happen in the future. She is to sacrifice her self in order to defeat the darkest wizard of the age lord Voldemort. Chapter 1: the letter. my name is CaseyFreeman and I am 11 years old. I sat in my room reading the chronicles of Narnia when I heard the doorbell ring. I went downstairs to see who it was. There was a woman in a green robe with a black witches hat and spectacles. She introduced herself as Professor McGonagall and told me about the Wizarding world. She also told me about the dark Lord Voldemort and that I was the only one who survived the killing curse and the only one who could defeat him. She handed me a letter which read: dear Miss Freeman, we are pleased to inform you that you have been excepted at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. Please find enclosed all necessary books and equipment. The term begins on September 1 and the Hogwarts express leaves kings cross station at platform 9 3/4 at 11 AM. We await your owl no later than July 31. Sincerely, Professor McGonagall, Deputy headmistress. I  unfolded a second piece of parchment which read: first your students will require: three sets of plain black work robes, a pair of dragon hide gloves, one black wizards hat, one black cloak with silver fastenings, one wand, one cauldron, one set of brass scales, one set of crystal files, One telescope, a beginners guide to transfiguration, magical theory, fantastic beasts and where to find them, the standard book of spells grade 1, a history of magic, 1000 magical herbs and fungi, magical drafts and potions, and the dark forces: a guide to self protection. Students may also bring an owl, cat, or toad. Students are reminded that they are not allowed to bring their own brooms. I was so excited, I couldn’t wait to start Hogwarts and learn magic. Professor McGonagle informed me that she would be coming tomorrow morning to take me to Diagon Alley to buy my school supplies. I couldn’t wait for what the future would hold.
