I wake in the morning at 9:00, it's the first day of the summer holidays. I run down the stairs and into the kitchen. I am greeted by the smell of pancakes as I enter the kitchen and sit down. My mum walks into the kitchen, checks the pancakes and puts something down beside me. "That letter came in the post this morning it's addressed to you, it looks familiar!!" mum says and smiles at me. "Why pancakes mum??" I ask and mum replies, "It's the first day of the summer holidays no school for two months!! Now open your letter while I wake your sister!!!" Mum leaves the room and I pick up the letter. It's addressedto: Ms H Murphy, Smallest Bedroom, Cork, Ireland. I have butterflies in my stomach and my hands are shaking as I break the seal on the Hogwarts crest. The letter inside reads: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

Dear Ms Murphy,

We are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment. Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl no later than 31 July.

I look at the list of school supplies and start crying. Not because I'm sad but because I'm soo happy!! I can't wait!! I'm going to be like Harry Potter from my books!!!!
