The Mending Charm

Chapter 7

The Mending Charm

Type:
Charm

Incantation:
Reparo

Pronunciation:
Reh-pah-roh

Wand Movement:
Inward pointed spiral, continued until the object is fully repaired

Willpower:
Minimal

Concentration:
High, but you have to visualize the repaired object until it is fully repaired

The Mending Charm can repair most non-magical items simply enough, though depending upon the level of damage, a sustained effort may be necessary. The caster must visualize the target fully repaired until the repair is complete. If you let the visualization slip, you risk the spell unraveling, which means you will have to start all over again. The caster must also continue the wand movement after saying the incantation until the effects are complete.

It is important to remember that only non-magical fixes can be made with this spell. Any magical objects repaired would not have the magical ability it had before.
