Hazel
This is book is my own magical world that I thought of all by myself. You'll also notice some of the names are interesting and I would definitely encourage you to look up their meanings because some of them have cool meanings like Oliver means elf warrior and thanks to that that's where the creature came to mind. I was also the author of "World of Magic" but it isn't very good and I wouldn't recommend it. I have been meaning to fix everything but haven't done it yet. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it and sorry if the grammar or spelling is incorrect.

The Family
Chapter 3
It took three days’ time to get to Alvin’s house, and by the time they got there it was a terrible down pore. When they
arrived, Alvin had Hazel’s hand in his. They both stood there for a while
staring up at the huge house. The house was a bright white which made it glow.
Hazel’s jaw fell slightly at the sight of it.
“It has been a while since I have been inside this place.” Alvin
said tearfully except without tears.
Hazel had no words for Alvin. She couldn't think straight
whatsoever. What would Alvin’s family think of her? How would they treat her?
What is going to happen to her? But then Alvin interrupted her thoughts.
“Shall we go inside?” Alvin said looking down at the girl.
Hazel hesitated for a moment but nodded though her intestines were all tied together.
Alvin opened the door and Hazel saw two huge staircases that led to an upper floor. Straight ahead on the other hand was a sitting room that seated
a small family. There was a mother with flaming red hair and a huge stomach, twin
girls about the age of nine also with red hair, and a little boy about four
years old with big blue eyes and black, curly, and untidy hair that kind of made him resemble his father. The
family all looked up from the story they were reading and stared with their
mouths open. They all stood up and the three kids ran to their father while the
mother just stood there staring at her husband covered in scratches, scars, and
dirt. It seemed as though no one had even noticed the little girl standing
beside the tall man, but she didn't really care. She was reminded of her
parents by this heartwarming scene; so Hazel had to blink really hard to keep
back the tears. Finally after about ten minutes, the boy looked around the room
and came across Hazel. They made eye contact and he looked toward his father,
pointed at Hazel, and asked:
“Who is that father?”
Everyone turned to look at the little girl.
“Oh, everyone. This is Hazel the newest addition to this family.
Hazel this is my family. My wife, Catherine. My twin daughters, Joy and Jane, and
my son Edric. You know? The one I said was about your age.”
Hazel and Edric looked at each other once again silently. Edric
looked shorter than Hazel had imagined, but nonetheless still looked nice. They
had seemed to make an unusual connection that told them they were going to be
the best of friends. Edric smiled at the girl and Hazel smiled back at the boy.
“Edric? Would you mind showing Hazel to the guest room please?” Alvin
finally said to break the awkward silence.
“Sure father.” Edric said to his father then turned to Hazel and said:
“Follow me, Hazel.” He extended his tiny hand and Hazel clutched it. Edric took
her back to the entrance and led her up the first staircase and they turned all
the many hallways and finally came to a smooth white door with a marble black
doorknob. Edric reached for it with his free hand and turned it. They walked in
and Edric said:
“I know it isn’t really what a girl would really wish for, but it
is the best we've got. Now this room is really close to a bathroom which is
just down the hall, the door behind these curtains leads to our backyard, but
keep in mind to watch your step because there are stairs right there. Got it? And
my room is just around the corner if you need me.”
“Thanks Edric.” Hazel replied and with that bent down and kissed
his cheek.
Edric blushed and turned to walk out and into his bedroom, but looked back
at the glowing girls face. She smiled and he smiled back. He turned away and walked
away. Hazel walked into her new room and closed the door behind her. She looked
around the room. There was a fluffy bed, a glass door that led to the backyard, a walk-in-closet, a glass mirror, and a white puffy armchair, and hanging from the ceiling was a little
chandelier.
”I could get used to this pretty easily.” She whispered to
herself. She threw on some clean pajamas; plopped down on her new fluffy bed and
fell asleep.
