The Meeting
Chapter 1
Lily was thinking about a certain someone just walking around the grounds. Her mind kept wandering to Oliver. She knew why but couldn't figure out if she should tell him or not. After all, telling him could be a mistake and she could lose a friend. Or it could be good and they wind up together. She decided to go sit at the Black Lake and she walked over. She realized there was someone else there. A boy. Walking closer, she noticed it was Oliver. Dan. There goes thinking this through first. She sat down next to him. "Hi, Oliver." She said softly, staring across the lake. She finally decided to tell him but was very nervous and fidgety. He'll probably guess before she even says it. Taking a deep breath, she glanced at him. He too, seemed to be thinking. "Oliver, I need to tell you something." She was worried this wasn't going to go over well but she would just get it over with and go from there. If he doesn't return her feelings, she hoped they could just be friends though it would be awkward. Awkward and weird. Not what she wants.
Oliver was sitting by the lake when Lily walked over. She said she needed to tell him something. Immediately he thought She knows you like him! She is telling you she doesn’t like you!. He brushed it away, “Lily, I also have something to tell you… I - I he couldn’t bring himself to say it. He knew this had to end one way or another. He couldn't hide this forever. He sucked it up. “Lily…” he said looking into her eyes. I wanted to tell you that… this was it he was gonna happen. This was either a nice start for a relationship or a horrible end of a friendship. ”I like you…” Oliver said grabbing a hold of her hand, it was warm. He hopped for the best. Now that he thought about it, he probably ended a nice friendship. Why had he done that? He should have just shut his mouth! He was nervous about what she was going to say. For a few seconds there was silence. He knew what this meant. ”Its ok, if you don’t like me…” Oliver told her. He got up to leave but before he could do so, he was pulled back, she pulled him back.
When Oliver told her he liked her, her stomach flipped. This was it! This is what she wanted. He grabbed her hand and she distinctly tightened it. He told her it was okay if she didn't like him. Oh lord, how she was nervous. Wait.. why was she nervous? He just told her he liked her. He turned to leave, but she pulled him back. "Oliver.... I like you too." She just said it! Omg! He would be happy and so would she but she's still nervous. What if he doesn't want to be together right now? That's ridiculous, she thought. If he likes her, he would want to be with her. Lily was just overreacting. This is a good thing. In fact, now she could have a boyfriend. "I-I've liked you for a while. I-i just now got my nerve up to tell you" she said, gauging his reaction to see what he would say. Maybe they could go to party's together, have fun, do homework, maybe even one day get married. That might be stretching it, but you could always hope. You just have to hold that hope out. And Lily was definitely going to hold it out.
Oliver smiled. It had all gone well and not horribly wrong. She told him that she liked him for a while. ”Well, I also liked you for a while. I just thought someone like you wouldn’t like someone like me.”Oliver said. It was done! After so long of thinking about the moment it would happen, it did and now he had a girlfriend. He was so exited about the future that awaited them. “I-: I didn’t know you felt the same way about me!” Oliver said. He planned to cherish this moment. Sitting by the lakeside with the girl he had thought, would not have been interested in him. He had a smile on his face, he was so happy. After four months of their friendship it had come to this. He held her hand tighter. He looked into her eyes. They were beautiful and shiny. He couldn’t believe she liked him too. Even though she said it, he still thought this was all a dream. Maybe even a prank-show. How could she have liked him? Then, without thinking about it or giving it a second thought, he leaned closer, looked into her eyes “God your beautiful” he said before kissing her.
Lily smiled at Oliver. She finally had a boyfriend and her feelings were correct. Lily tightened her hand around his. She leaned against him and her hair brushed against his shoulder. She was so happy that she had Oliver, she was practically ecstatic. " I love you, Oliver." She whispered with a smile. He told her he had loved for awhile and he didn't know that she felt the same. " I always loved you" He told her he was beautiful and kisses her. Lily froze for a moment looking into his eyes. She kissed him back, their lips moving synchronizing. She loved this so much, she didn't want it to stop. She put her hands around his waist and kissed him more. Looking into his shining eyes, her stomach flipped and she wanted more. She wanted to love him forever, get married, have kids. Have their whole life together. If only they were seventeen already. How time goes so slowly. Lily wished time could go faster. But she would enjoy this time they had together. After all, they were only this young for a little while. She would have fun with Oliver and love him like her life depending on it.
