Garden Potatoes

Chapter 5

Gnomes:
Gnomes are small creatures in the wizarding world which are considered pests due to how they invade gardens. Gnomes are brown, one foot tall and look a little potato like. They are found in Europe and North America and feed on plants. Gnomes live in tunnels that are interconnected. The tunnels have different rooms for different purposes.

Gnome breeding includes the rotation of mates and a gestation period which lasts for 59-62 days. They can give birth to up to six pups per year. Gnomes are removed from gardens by swinging and releasing them. A faster way to complete this process is by using garveys to drive them out of the garden. After leaving a garden, the gnomes either find a new yard with exsisting tunnels or create new tunnels. It is currently unknown if gnomes have magical properties, however some say saliva increases creativity.
