Boring beasts

Chapter 2

Flobberworms:

Flobberworms can grow up to 10 inches in length and are normally brown in appearance. They live in damp ditches normally and move very little. Flobberworms are invertebrate, which means the creature never devoloped a spinal collum. It is quite common in worms and insects for this to happen.

It is easy to identify a flobberworm, since they are identical on both ends. However due to this, it makes flobberworms blind or so matizoligists think. It is unknown how flobberworms look on the inside, due to their rapid decomposition, however it is predicted that they look similar to segmented worms. Their skin is quite thin, which has led megazooligists to believe that their protective layer is only useful for protecting them against movement.

Flobberworms feed on vegetables, mostly lettuce and cabbage. In terms of reproduction, they are hermaphrodites. Which means one end of their body has female organs, while the other end has male organs. The main use of flobberworms is the usage of their mucus in wiggenweld potions.

Horklumpus:

A horklump is a mushroom which is bright pink and usually have black hairs all over it. To me, a cool aspect of this plant is that they are resistant to multiple types of venom. Their only source of food is earthworms and they can breed very quickly.

Horklumps:
Horklumps are nocturnal beasts, which means they only come out at night. During the night they use the bristles to capture worms as their food. The black bristles play an important part in their asexual reproduction (which means they don't need another female or male in order to reproduce.) The bristles will break off, fall into the ground and reproduce.

Horklump is actually very important in the wizarding work, as they are used in healing potions and herbicide potions, which can be used to kill plants. You can get their juice by pulling them out of the ground and shaking them carefully. Then replant them, and since they are stressed out, the Horklump should start to sweat.
