It's a Definite Kind of Love (A Blackinnon Fanfiction)

written by Jui Weasley

Ever since that one kiss, something had changed between them. They were more comfortable with each other. They cared for each other (mostly... sometimes... 70% of the time... 60%...) They actually tried hard for each other. This is the story of Sirius Black and Marlene McKinnon. WARNING: There are mentions of violence in this story. If it is a trigger, feel free to close this book. All credits go to J.K. Rowling except for my OCs. Mar-Mar Saves The Day

Chapter 6

Marlene stood in front of the building for a long time. The streetlights glimmered in the dark night sky and rain started to patter onto the streets.

Marlene sighed. She hadn't brought an umbrella with her.

There was no where to stand under.

Marlene was stuck in the downpour, filled with despair and thoughts that Sirius was hurt and she wasn't there to help him.

She thought. She thought long and hard about Sirius. Did she have the right address? Did she know how to get in? And most importantly- what was wrong? Was someone hurting him?

All these thoughts swam in her mind, flooding her brain with not just thoughts, but also worry.

Why did love have to be so hard?

And just then- Marlene heard a rumbling- a deep rumbling noises that shook the ground and forced open Number 11 and Number 13.

Marlene gasped. She was such an idiot- she realized thinking ABOUT the house itself made it open.

She didn't waste a moment getting soaked in the rain.

Marlene whipped out her wand and tip-toed into the dark house.

She didn't shut the door behind her, because that's how things always go wrong in those horror movies.

Marlene stood in a hallway lined with portraits of house elves and glowing lanterns.

She tried her best to be quiet and tiptoe up the staircase, not wanting to linger there long.

Marlene finally reached a door that said, "Serious Black- he's VERY serious."

Marlene rolled her eyes. Yeah, that was his room.

She shook her wet hair out of her face and saw that the door was slightly ajar. She pushed it gently and saw-

Nothing.

Zip.

Nada.

Sirius wasn't there.

Maybe he was hiding...?

Marlene checked the closets and under his desk. No where to be seen.

Her eyes widened when she heard a soft whimpering noise. It didn't come from inside the room.

It was in the backyard.

Marlene grabbed a piece of parchment from Sirius' desk and scirbbled a very strong note of hatred towards his parents and stuffed the contents of his trunk and some of his clothes in her backpack.

She thought she had never been more quieter. Or more faster.

Marlene ran down the staircase and the hallway without a single noise, until-

She accidentally stepped on a creaky stair.

Marlene paused and waited to see if the Black's made any noises, but she didn't hear anything.

So she continued silently dashing outside and ran out into the rain.

Marlene saw a fence that led into their backyard and seized her chance by leaping over it.

Her sopping wet clothes and hair dragged her down.

She could hardly walk from exhaustion.

But she kept running and searcing everywhere.

And there was the soft whining noise again.

But louder.

Marlene walked to a nearby tree.

"Sirius?"

A nose poked out. Then two ears.

And yes, if you haven't guessed yet- it was a dog. Padfoot.

Marlene was so overridden with joy that she had tears in her eyes and she started hugging Sirius.

Fortunately for her, the rain disguised them.

"Sirius- what happened? Why-"

Padfoot whined really quietly.

Marlene whipped around.

"I swear I heard something, Walburga!" yelled a grumpy man's voice.

"There's a whole thunderstorm, and what did you say you hear, DOGS?!" shrieked a woman's voice. "It's two in the morning, I say you get inside RIGHT NOW, Orion, because I need my beauty sleep."

Marlene assumed that was Walburga. She seemed annoying.

"We need to get you out," she mouthed to Sirius, who got the general idea of her sentence.

Marlene bit her bottom lip and thought.

She suddenly had an idea.

"Sorry," Marlene mouthed again. She unzipped her backpack, picked up Sirius, and gently dropped him inside.

"What was that?" gasped Mr. Black when he heard the sound of the backpack unzipping.

Marlene grasped her wand tightly.

Mr. Black and Mrs. Black came running. They were both hideous and REALLY annoying looking people.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING ON OUR PROPERTY-" shrieked Walburga.

"Check Sirius' room, you idiots." Marlene smirked, having really said something a little stronger than idiots. "Glad I have an Apparition License-" she said with a wide grimace, stepping forward and zooming away with her backpack and her dog.
