It's a Definite Kind of Love (A Blackinnon Fanfiction)
Ever since that one kiss, something had changed between them. They were more comfortable with each other. They cared for each other (mostly... sometimes... 70% of the time... 60%...) They actually tried hard for each other. This is the story of Sirius Black and Marlene McKinnon. WARNING: There are mentions of violence in this story. The Dance (Part 4)
Chapter 25
"I can't dance," groaned Sirius. "Can we go back to the common room?"
Marlene snorted. "Alright, alright, let's go."
"Actually," said Sirius with a grin. "I wanted to show you something."
Marlene raised her eyebrows. "Lead the way."
Sirius held Marlene's hand and dragged her through the twisting staircases.
"Er-" she said uncertainly. "You know we're going to the top of the school, right?"
"Exactly."
"I hate surprises, Sirius!" said Marlene impatiently. "Just tell meeeeeeeeeeee."
"If I did, it wouldn't be a surprise, now would it?" said Sirius with a smirk.
"Why are you so damn annoying, Black?"
"It's in my blood."
Marlene scoffed, but didn't say anything as Sirius kept running up the stairs.
"Here we are," he finally said triumphantly, pointing to a door.
"Er- this is the Astronomy Tower," said Marlene, brushing back a strand of her messy blonde hair.
"I know," he said with a grin, opening the door and sitting down in the closest chair the the balcony area. "C'mon. There's supposed to be a meteor shower tonight."
"Ooooh," said Marlene, clapping her hands together. "That sounds exciting. I'll grab a chair real quick."
She pulled up a small wooden chair that scraped across the stone floor, placing it down right next to where Sirius sat.
There was a moment of silenxe as they both watched the beautiful night sky.
"I really am sorry, Marls," said Sirius quietly, breaking the silence that echoed throughout the night.
"I'm really sorry too, for calling you all those things," whispered Marlene.
Sirius turned around to look at her. He cupped her face in his hands and kissed her gently.
Marlene, slightly taken aback by this, soon kissed him back.
It was a moment of reconciliation and love.
They broke apart after what seemed like a day or even several moonlit nights.
"I missed you," said Sirius, hugging her tight and burying his face in her warm blonde curls.
"I did too, Sirius," Marlene whispered. "I love you."
Sirius breathed in deeply. "I love you too."
And they found themselves, locked in a tight embrace, sitting in front of the wonderful shooting stars.
But their wishes were already made.
