TW AND CW: Light mentions of abuse

Walburga Black glared down at the McKinnons in disgust and looked as if someone had placed a bit of dung under her nose.

Sirius glared at her angrily.

But that was nothing compared to the looks Marlene's family was giving her.

"I'm sorry," said Pearl gently, not knowing who Walburga was. "Who exactly are you?"

"Ah, yes," grimaced Walburga. "The Muggle. I can't believe my own son is living with such filth."

"When you say son, I'm assuming you mean Regulus, because the only definition for filth is you, *****," growled Marlene.

Sirius was taken aback by her foul language.

Sean didn't seem to mind, as he himself was glaring daggers at Walburga.

Pearl was a little confused as to why Walburga was acting to horrible to them all.

Walburga's nostrils flared. "So you insult my family?"

"No," said Sean in a mock kind tone, "We didn't insult your family. Just you for abusing your own son."

Pearl's eyes widened with realization. 

She stood up quietly and brushed off her dress. "Marlene, Sean, Sirius, come along."

Her calm voice was persuading yet very calm and gentle.

The three got up, still glaring daggers at Walburga.

Pearl turned with a kind face to Walburga. "Ma'am, I think you may have mistaken us for people who give a ****."

And she walked off, placing 2 galleons on the countertop from her purse and gesturing for the others to come with her.

They were all so awe-struck by her sassy comment that they followed her with ease.

But not before Marlene whispered to Walburga, "We were nice this time, but come near Sirius again, and we'll get REALLY sweet."

And she ran to catch up with the others.

A/n: An early chapter because I felt bad about leaving you guys on a cliffhanger :)

I just loved making Pearl really sassy in this though... I'm so bad at making comebacks myself, I literally had to look them up.
