It's a Definite Kind of Love (A Blackinnon Fanfiction)
Ever since that one kiss, something had changed between them. They were more comfortable with each other. They cared for each other (mostly... sometimes... 70% of the time... 60%...) They actually tried hard for each other. This is the story of Sirius Black and Marlene McKinnon. WARNING: There are mentions of violence in this story. If it is a trigger, feel free to close this book. All credits go to J.K. Rowling except for my OCs. Please keep in mind that I do not support her views on the LGBTQIA+ community, as I am part if that community myself. Thanks for taking the time to read. That Was A Breeze
Chapter 11
TW AND CW: Mentions of alcohol
A/n: Here's an early chapter for you guys because I was just bored, but it's just a little filler chapter. Enjoy :)
The rest of summer ran by like a breeze.
Marlene's dad became more open to Sirius once Sirius shared his love for Quidditch, but he still didn't like Sirius a lot for fraternizing with Marlene.
He suspected... something.
He was technically correct.
Marlene had let her mom know about their relationship, but she hadn't told her dad yet because of the absolute fury he would be in if that did happen.
"One last week till school starts," sighed Sirius. "To think we'll be entering the school as minors who drink bland apple juice and leave school as adults who like glugging down beer."
Marlenw stared at him in disgust. "For your information, I think you ought to know your own friggin' birthday- it's 2 months after we start school. So for all I know, I think you'll be chugging down alcohol before we even end school."
Sirius shrugged and grinned. "When's your birthday, again?"
Marlene blinked and smirked. She folded her arms. "Guess."
Sirius gulped. Oh no. "Um... March 20."
"No."
"May?"
"Close."
"REALLY?"
"No, you idiot."
"Hmm... September?"
"Ok, pretty close this time."
"AUGUST!"
"Yup. What day-"
"THE 20!"
"No."
"Um... 19th?"
"Nope."
"18."
"Nada."
This annoying process continued for some time until Sirius realized her birthday was August 1st.
"Oops- I forgot your birthday."
Marlene sniggered. "I'm glad you did, to be honest."
"Why?"
"Lily sent over a whole tiered cake and it was really great!"
"Then what's the problem?"
"It was sugar free- her mom's a dentist..." sighed Marlene.
"But it still tastes the same," noted Sirius.
"Yes, but when you know it has no sugar, you can't have the satisfaction of annoying your parents by running all on and around the walls and breaking their vases and lamps."
Sirius blinked. "Geez."
"I'm a maniac," said Marlene proudly.
"I can see that."
"Glad you're not THAT much of an idiot that you can't see that."
"That's an exaggeration of how smart I am."
"True."
And they spent the rest of their week just chitchatting and having fun together.
A/n: I know this was just a filler chapter but I hope you guys like it! Tysm for all these reads- if you add the reads from the first book and second book, you would get 900 reads! It was so heartwarming when I saw this and I just wanna thank you all again. :)
