Chapter 1
INTRODUCTION:
- Each plant investigated throughout the course may be used for medicinal, protective, educational, or decorative purposes.
- Whether magical or non-magical, these plants are each given individual gifts and abilities.
ADVANTAGES:
- During a duel, it may be partiularly useful to have knowledge of the differences between various types of wood when selecting a certain spell to cast upon your opponent.
- Healers require a sufficent herbological education to ensure mix ups do not occur when treating patients with various medicinal plants.
- Both potioneers and healers need to have the ability to identify various hazardous plant types and ensure they are quickly dealt with.
TERMINOLOGY:
- Herbology includes the study and use of both magical and non-magical plants.
- A herbologist refers to a witch or wizard who has confidence in their understanding of the unique properties and nature of plants, and uses said knowledge to positively impact the world.
