Rules of Quidditch
The rules of Quidditch are not complicated. Quidditch is actually very easy to learn. There are 3 Chasers, 1 Keeper, 1 Seeker, and 2 Beaters. The job of the Chasers are to score points with the Quaffle. The Quaffle is a leather ball thrown by the Chasers to score points, if the Quaffle gets into the one of the opponent's 3 hoops scores 10 points. The job of the Keeper is to keep the Quaffle out of the hoops. The job of the Seeker is to find and catch the Golden Snitch. If the Seeker catches it, the game ends. Whoever's team catches the snitch gets 150 points. The job of the Beaters is to protect their teammates from the 2 bludgers and hit it to the other team. Bludgers are leather balls that fly around trying to knock players off their brooms. All the players must stay in the boundaries. If a chaser with a Quaffle flies out, the Quaffle must be given to the other team. Timeout can be called by the captain, failure to return to the pitch means disqualification. Although contact is allowed, players may not grab another player's broom stick or another player. A penalty may be awarded to a team by the referee. One chaser flys to the scoring area from the central circle with a Quaffle and the keeper may block the shot from being scored. No substitution of players may be allowed during a game, even if a player is badly injured or tired. Lastly, Only the keeper can block shots going into the hoop.
