Backstory :: From newborn to age 5 Renesmee lived with her mother and father. She had a nice life, a set mate, and a perfect future ahead. That was until her parents found out that her designated mate was abusing her. Her mate, Jacob was kind and gentle but he’d been triggered and he shifted too close to Renesmee, and his claws forms onto her stomach skin. Enesmee’s grandfather was luckily a doctor and able to give her stitches but her parents forged her from seeing Jacob again and sent her away to the other side of the world. It could’ve been another planet if she didn’t know. The sun had dried up all the land and she soon learned it was called The Scorch. Along with The Scorch a deadly virus, labeled as the Flare spread quickly and the only immunes found were the children. Some children, the unlucky ones weren’t immune, but to figure out and separate the immunes from non-immunes a company called WCKD (World Catastrophe Killzone Department) sent kids into a maze and tested them. Renesmee arrived right after a glade of kids broke out. She was sent to the Glade, all alone and one by one, kids young like her at only ages 5, 6, and 7 were sent down into a Glade with not only Grievers but other creatures, ones that came out in the daylight. Renesmee stayed there for 7 months, with one other girl and five boys. Their maze was broken into by the kids who had escaped months before, few left. Thomas, Newt, Frypan, and Teresa had come to help the kids escape, but as the ship landed the daylight grievers, also known as Cranks; the people infected with the Flare. All of the other kids were killed, and Newt the one boy in that group that was not immune was infected. They got to the Last City and Renesmee was told to stay with Thomas. Newt’s infection was spreading and there was nothing anybody could do. All at Crank Palace Renesmee, Newt and Thomas waited and Thomas and Renesmee watched newt die. Both were heartbroken because Renesmee had a special bond with him. She understood him in a different way. After Newt’s death, Thomas and Renesmee went back to get Teresa. During this Thomas was shot and with the help of Renesmee and Teresa, he was brought back to safety. The aircraft was unable to save Renesmee and Teresa, causing them to fall to what seemed like their death. Both surviving the fall, Renesmee and Teresa made their way to the Safe Haven, which took three months, making Renesmee 7 by the time they reached their destination. After giving Newt a small burial Teresa and Thomas got married, and took Renesmee as their child, though she was more of a little sister. It has only been a month since the wedding, and Teresa, Thomas, and Renesmee are still settling in, in a safe spot safe from Cranks. Renesmee knows she is lucky, but she wishes that Chuck, Alby, Wiston, Newt and so many other people she hadn’t met yet could’ve been there with them.
