Science, Magic and Traditions - Do we need them?

Chapter 1

To start the essay, Yes.

It's always interesting when we reflect on the present with the past. It shows a path and journey that those before us took before we reached the point we are now. Tales are not always just stories sometimes they are true and those tales were once someone's reality.

We begin by retracing the steps of the first people and how they attached themselves to the bodies in the sky is proof that it not only acts as a role in affecting our day-to-day but also as scientific evidence to those that don't believe in what they can't see or touch. Noting that, we feel the sun and see the moon and they're both catalysts in a way where that affect our magical energies and even on some occasions our personalities.

It isn't a coincidence that some planets are farther and some are closer as in my opinion if science didn't play a role, Jupiter should be closer to the sun, fighting to take its place in who gets to be the center of it all. Maybe pluto would be Jupiter's moon and trusted companion.

Over and above that, the non-coincidence of the planet placement plays a large role in how everyone, Muggle or Magical alike, develops their personalities based on their sun sign or moon sign and other planets in their chart. Signs are derived from ancient myths and stories told by those once alive and walking. They were told based on events, sightings, and dreams. All of this comes together to form science and methodology that some find to be out of this world or plain lunacy.

Old tales and myths shaped the way our current time looks into the magical phenomena, whereas once an eclipse was thought to be a demise, is now used in some form of ritual cleansings or simply just a spectacular sight to see that marks the quarter half of a year.

Science is not final and written. It grows and expands every time someone has a new story to tell, such as the gravity, then the irrational behavior of your neighbor on a given day, and other times it's the way someone inhales oxygen with a hint of perfume in the air. The chemical combinations and how someone might think it's the best fragrance they've smelt and others suffer an irritable nasal reaction.

Both perspectives would be interesting to hear and both tales would be told differently and might go into history as the start of a war or just the beginning of a new love story that would make the bestseller top list in the market at one point in the year.

There is beauty in tales and a remarkable explanation behind every one of them and I believe that it's necessary to be taught in classes and lectures to better understand how thing became to be. They are not simply just children's tales or villager's nightmares but are important in the advancement of our minds, studies, technology, and research.
