Journal,

Today I ran into an extraordinary person. And by ran into I literally mean ran into... All my books we everywhere I even bent my new quill mother just sent me. But this boy just apologized and then asked me my name! My auntie used to tell me stories about him but that's all I ever thought they were. Stories. Today I met Harry Potter. The real one. I guess I missed him at the sorting ceremony. Here's what happened today:

I was rushing to Potions as always because it is all the way in the dungeons. THUMP! All my books everywhere and my quill cracks in half.

I pull my hair behind my ears in embarrassment, "Sorry.."

As I begin to walk away he pulls on my robes, "Wait you forgot your charms book!" I turn around and instantly see the famous scar father used to draw on parchment to show me,"what's your name?"

"Um... Joanna..." I clear my throat,"what's yours?" I think I knew the answer but didn't want to believe that he who must not be named's one and only survivor was standing in front of me.

"Harry."

"The Harry? As in Harry...Potter?" now I don't look at the ground but I look straight at the scar.

"Yep. We'll see you around then." he spun around on his heel and run forward with his red head friend.

As you could probably guess, I was late to potions. Mesmerized by this boy. During most of potions I worked on writing a letter to tell auntie about Harry Potter. Even though she went missing I still send letters to her house. When she comes back she can read them all.

Joanna
