I Solemnly Swear I Am Up To No Good
When a fourteen year old witch is faced with going to Hogwarts, she soon realizes what it is like to be around magic. Joanna Abberforth grew up with her two muggle parents all her life and has never been in the wizarding world. While she meets a wide range of friends and foes, the whole story is recorded in her closest friend, a journal. She writes everything down to keep her company, but it may end up getting her into trouble.

Journal,
I think Olivia and I are now friends. She always makes me laugh and tries to cheer me up. She has dirty blonde hair with purple streaks most of the time. Olivia has both her parents, (witch and wizard), and a younger sister, Rose. Since we are both first years and Hufflepuffs, Olivia and I have all the same classes. Our day starts with Potions, then Transfiguration to Charms. Lunch is between that with everyone and the day continues with the rest of our classes. The hardest thing I've done in lessons so far would be trying to use a quill and ink. I try to use pen in my journal, but Professor Sprout wants me to write only with a quill after today for everything.
Today was my first... mistake. As I was leaving breakfast, the bell to go to Potions rang. I ran as fast as I could and accidentally ran right into Filtch, the hall guard. He gave me a very stern warning and almost sent me straight to Dumbledore. I continued on and slid into Potions. Professor Snape told me that I shouldn't be such a pest and gave me detention for tomorrow evening. At my muggle school, everyone called me a screw up because I never went a day without running into someone with my lunch or falling off the monkey bars. Auntie Emelia would tell me it was because I saw the world in a different way and was always day-dreaming. What I didn't tell her was that I was dreaming that I would stop being so clumsy and such a screw up. I was hoping I would grow out of it, however it seems my prays have not been answered.
After lessons, Olivia and I sat down and discussed our families. She told me about her triplet cousins that made fun of her purple hair and I told her about my Auntie. She then asked me where, why, and how she disappeared. I have absolutely no information on that... but that's why I'm going to become a good witch, so I can find her.
