Rowling‘s Harry Potter series.  chapter 1: I sat in my room reading a book when my dad called me downstairs to check the mail. I went downstairs and out the front door to the end of the driveway where the mailbox was. I collected the mail and went back inside. I handed my dad his mail and noticed that there was a letter for me. I opened it and it read: dear Miss Freeman, we are honored to except you into the royal Academy of magical arts. You will learn to control your magic and how to integrate yourself into the magical society. The courses that you will be taking include:  charms, transfiguration, dueling, potions, magical botany, magical zoology, magical history, and magical theory. You can take extracurriculars such as broom flying,  the defense association, and the study group. in your second year you can take electives such as Astrology, Ancient Studies, elemental magic, and alchemy.   You will find beginners books and all of your equipment in    Magical London in Leicester Square. it is only visible to the magical Community.    We await your confirmation no later than August 1. The royal Express Will leave kings cross station at platform 9 1/2 at 10 A.m on August 31. The school is located in Edinburgh where there is a magical community with a shopping center    where you can spend your weekends accompanied by a professor. You will be arriving at the school at 6 PM. There will be a sorting ceremony in which you will be placed into your Royal houses. They are called House Phoenix, house sphinx,  House unicorn, and house dragon. You will be sorted accordingly by your personality. House Phoenix represents resilience, House Sphinx represents wisdom,  house unicorn represents purity, and house dragon represents leadership. we look forward to your arrival. I called her name and she came bounding down the stairs from her room. I handed her the letter and she read it. She started jumping up and down in excitement. I was excited for her and myself and we couldn’t wait for what the future would hold.
