James had completely forgotten about the triwizard tournament and had his first task coming up. He met up with the other competitors, "The first task is extremely difficult, but there is no backing out now." We had to do a broom race with many unexpected opsticals. Examples hidden barriers, growing tangle vines, and flying swords. James thought to himself that he could do it. On the day of the first task Lily and Albus were there to wish him luck. He never saw Anastasia even though she said she would arrive, he thought maybe she was late.. he took off on his brand new broom and faced 2 barriers and 3 gripping plants. He made it!
