Lily and her mother where just leaving to go and find out if the letter was true or not, when her sister Petunia came running down the stairs her face tomato red, "do you really think the letter is true that Lilly is some freaky wizard" she shouted at her mother out raged, " she Probably just made the letter herself and pretended she was all magical and stuff?" she screamed. " your just jealous because you cant do magic, now if you don't mind we are leaving" Lily announced. She walked out the door, her mother following behind her shaking her head at Petunia. The pair got into the silver car and drove of to the address written in the note, it said to go to the leaky caldron.

They ended up outside a tattered old building with a wooden sign whistling in the wind. The sign had the words leaky caldron written on it with a picture of a black caldron on it. Her mother looked at her daughter and got a nod back before she pushed open the old door, they steeped through and ended up in a dirty pub with people drinking and singing. A man stepped out in front of them making Lily jump, "what brings you here? do you have a letter? or are you looking for a drink ?" the man questioned. "Um.. we have a letter" her mother said unsurely as she pulled out the letter, she handed it over to the man and he pulled it out inspecting it. " AAAA young Lily, we have been waiting for you, here follow me" he headed of to the back of the pub and the pair followed anxiously. He pulled out a stick like object out of his jacket and tapped some bricks and they started to shake and then separated all together making a door way that lead to what looked like a long street with lots of shops. There were kids with parents reading of lists of what they needed to buy and old people chatting. " Welcome to Diagon Alley" the man announced "  hear is a list of all the shops where you will get everything you need for school and up there at the end is the bank where you can exchange money for galleons to buy your things" the man said as he pointed at the end of the alley where a tall building was that had the name Gringotts Bank on it. Lily and her mother looked at the alley with their jaws hanging down staring in amazement that something like this was possible. Lily and her mother headed down the alley to the bank to exchange their money. The big double doors opened to allow them in. Lily starred and saw a huge crystal chandelier hanging from the tall ceiling. There were things like mini people with glasses on the end of their long pointed noses. There were other people walking around the bank and lily heard one of the girls say that the creatures were goblins. Goblins Lily thought, what other creatures are their. They walked along the marble floor up to one of the goblins. The goblin glanced over the podium and down at them "are you here to make a transfer or new account" the goblin questioned barely interested in them  "Umm here to make a new account for Lily Evans " her mother said in a shaky voice. The goblin wrote a few things down and then handed over a small brass key. "How much money would you like to put into this account" asked the impatient goblin. "Umm 100 pounds please" her mother said. While the goblin and her mother worked out all the financial stuff, Lily looked around the bank and wondered how big this place could possibly be. "Come on Lily lets go we have some money now"

" Right what's the first thing on your list darling?" her mother asked  " books from flourish & blotts " Lily replied "its just over there" Lily pointed. Her mother and her entered the store to find rows and rows of books. "Over there we need Hogwarts year 1 books. Her mother grabbed the stack of books and placed them on the counter and paid for them.As they went out the shop they grabbed a trolley to put all the stuff in. "what's next?" "a wand from Olivanders". The pair eventually found Olivanders, and entered the shop
