The Letter
Chapter 1
Lily Evans sat in her room reading maths for 11 year olds when a huge gust of wind blew all her home work across the room. Lily sighed and ran to the window and closed it, she walked back to her desk and noticed a letter on the floor. She bent down and scooped it up into her smooth hands, It was addressed to her, she turned it over slowly and noticed a red wax stamp on the back of the letter, the stamp had a crest on it. She stuck her finger under the flap of the letter and slid it across opening the letter, She pulled out its contents and read slowly not believing her eyes, the letter read..
Dear Lily Evans

Miss Minerva McGonagall
"MUM, MUM, MUM!!!" She shouted as she bounded down the wooden steps. Her mum came running out of the kitchen, "Lily! what's wrong? are you all right?" her mother asked in a shaky voice. "look at this letter it says I have been accepted to a magic school, do you think its real?" she asked handing over the letter to her mum. Her dad appeared behind her mother, reading over her shoulder. "I think I am going mad but I think its actually real, I mean it has instructions on how to get your stuff from a place called Diagon Alley". her mother said confidently." I say we go and see what this is all about tomorrow morning. Now Lily go back up to your room and get dressed for bed" her mother said sweetly.
That night Lily sat awake in your bed thinking if this actually could be real or if it was just a scam. She then wondered if it was real she would have to go to a boarding school and wouldn't see much of her parents or her friends, she realised with a gasp, she probably wont see her friends again or go to her school again, but how could she say no when she was told she could go to a magic school and learn lots of tricks. She reassured herself by thinking that she will make many more friends and will still see her family. She gently floated away into to sleep.
