Fantastic Four, X-Men, and The Avengers In The Same Room
Chapter 1
Artemise's POV
I crawled out onto my fire escape and started walking down the block, my family was driving me insane, I'm a freak to them, I have powers and they are scientists, they think they can just poke and prod me with needles. I walked to my favorite coffee shop on park avenue, I got situated at a table and took Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief out to read, Amanda Martin came over with my ice coffee, even though it was winter there is no time I won't be having iced coffee. My phone had started to ring and the caller ID read Wendy Stark, Tony's daughter, "Hello?" I answer and Wendy shouts into my ear, "I need your help! Please get over here! You promised you would come tonight!" I got up and waved goodbye to Amanda, "You still haven't told me what's so important about tonight." I say to her as I get outside into the cold New York air, Wendy went silent for a good two minutes then said, "I'll tell you when you get here." Hung up the phone and I was left to walk to Stark Tower. I waited for the cross walk to turn green and as soon as I did a limo came out and almost hit me, "The lights red! Dumbass!" I shout and hit the car, ok so I have some anger issues, nothing to bad.
I had finally arrived at the building, it was lit up. All 100 floors. I walked in and Happy greeted me on his way out, "Artemise it's nice to see you again." He says and I give a nod and walk into the elevator, "Hello Ms. Winters." J.A.R.V.I.S.'s voice rang out, "J.A.R.V.I.S., tell Wendy I'm here. And I'm annoyed." I say in a monotone voice as we go up to the 98th floor, a few seconds later J.A.R.V.I.S. had come back, "What is so important about tonight?" I ask, "Ms. Stark says that I am not allowed to say. Although she says that you have to change out of the outfit you are in." I roll my eyes and step out of the elevator as it comes to a stop. "Hey Artemise. Can you give us a hand with the food?" Pepper Potts ask and I turn to see so much food, my mouth watered at the sight of it all, "Who is coming?" I ask her, "Wendy will tell you." Was all Pepper said and I started to help move the food onto the dining table, "Well, if I'm done here. I think I'll go up to Wendy's room now." I say and walk back to the elevator, going up one floor, walking in I see clothes thrown about and three very familiar girls. "Will someone tell me what the hell is going on!?" I shout and the girls jump away from the pile of clothes, "Tony is having a dinner so he can impress some people." Rainer Duke says to me, "Yeah. I got that part. Who is he trying to impress?" I ask Wendy, "Well. Two groups, one is the X-Men, and the other, please don't kill me, Fantastic Four." Johnny Storm, I hated him with a passion, "You're going to kill me, aren't you?" Wendy asks, I snap my head towards her with a glare, "Possibly." I mumble, "What's with the clothes everywhere?" I question. "We need to decide what to wear to this dinner." Lavinia Wright says to us as she sorts through clothes, "I'm going down to my floor, come get me when the idiot shows up." I say and walk back to the elevator, Wendy had the 99th floor, Pepper and Tony had the 100th floor, I had the 97th floor, it was all black and red, it was beautiful, has the best view of New York.
I entered my floor and was immediately knocked to the floor by Akira, my Dogue de Bordeaux, a huge dog, "Down Akira." I say and push him off, I give him a tummy rub and walk over to my bedroom, only to be tackled by my wolf, Lotus, and my little wolf pup, Silver, "Hey girls." I say and pet them both as I head towards my closet. Yes I live with my family, but I also live with the Starks, Tony is trying to start a case so he can adopt me, he knows what I go through at home and he wants to get me away from it all, I sorted through the clothes and pulled out this. I set my bag down on my bed and smoothed my dress out, "Well don't you look pretty." A guys voice said from behind causing me to jump, I saw a friend of mine, Roy Harper, leaning in the door way, he had his arrows on his back and a bow in his hand, "I can't help you tonight Roy. I have a dinner to attend, apparently." I say as I pick Silver up. "Can't you miss it?" He asks and moves towards me, "No. I need to make sure Logan doesn't kill Tony. It's mandatory tonight goes well." I say as I head out of my room, "But I'm going out to patrol tonight, and I would really like it if my superhero best friend would come and help me. Come on." He whines, "I would like Black Diamond to come with me." He says, Black Diamond is my superhero identity. I sigh and lean against the wall, "Roy, as soon as the dinner ends, I will meet you at the Empire State Building, I promise." I say and enter the elevator, "Yeah, whatever." He mumbles and looks down at his feet, "I'm sorry Roy." I call out as the metal doors close, Roy is one of my best friends, but he left the Justice League, I miss him. I walked onto the 98th floor and every eye was on me, "Hey Scott." I greet and wave at the boy wearing sunglasses, "Hey Artemise." He says back and leans on the wall I was leaning on, "So, where is the idiot?" I ask Tony, "You mean Johnny Storm?" He questions, "Yeah that's what I said." I say and Tony laughs slightly, "They're in the other room, tread lightly, apparently their limo driver almost hit a girl, and from what they said, she caused more damage to the hood of the car than they did to her." Tony said with a half laugh, I growled and glared as the four came into the room, "Artemise!" Three of them cheered.
I glared at them slightly, "It was a red light dumbasses!" I hiss at them and their eyes widen, "We hit Artemise Winters? Now that's what I call an amazing hit." Johnny Storm said with a smirk and a slight glare, "Shut it Storm!" I growl and pick up a spoon, "Oh no." He mumbled and the smirk he had fell, "Johnny run, she has a spoon." Susan whispered to her brother and Johnny took off running while I chased after him, I came so close to hitting him and then hands went around my waist stopping me in my tracks, Steve Rogers held me up above his head so I couldn't move, "Steve let go of Artemise." Lavinia whispered before he dropped me to the ground, "I hate you Rogers, and Lavinia, I'm not to fond of you either." I say and brush my self off, "I didn't tell him to drop you." Lavinia shrugged and walked to Nightcrawler, I walked over to Logan Howlett and I gave him a hug, which he didn't return, he grunted a hello and gave me a pat on the back, "Dinner, is ready sir." J.A.R.V.I.S. says and we make our way to the table, "I would like to thank you all for coming tonight, Tony, Wendy and I are just so happy you can come and let us discuss the business plans Tony would like to." Pepper said with a smile and the more civilized people actually gave full sentences, while Logan and I grunted. "Alright, now the one person I really wanna thank here tonight, is Artemise Winters for getting the X-Men to come so we could actually have a conversation. So, thanks Arty, I needed it." Wendy said and gave me a side hug, "Let's eat!" Tony shouted excitedly and people quickly began to grab food, I started talking to Thor about Asgard, it sounded amazing and it made me so excited to talk about it. We all talked about different subjects, I attempted to kill Johnny Storm with food, and then the lights went out as lightning flashed through the sky, "Don't worry the back up generators will come on in a second." Tony says to us and I raise my nose up and sniff the air, "Not to alarm anyone, but there's someone else here." I whisper as I take the knife that was attached to my thigh out, I heard Logan grunt slightly and pull away from the table, the back up generators came on and the building roared to life, Logan stood near the windows with his claws out and I stood in the middle of the living area, "Logan, Artemise, relax." Charles said and we turned to him, "Relax?" I growl as my super hearing picks up footsteps from the floor above us, "Why don't we all just go out tonight, a little fresh air might be nice." Rainer says and Lavinia and Wendy quickly agree with her. "Artemise, come on." Reed Richards says as he motions to the elevator, "You guys have fun, I have plans." I say as I eye the ceiling and begin to make my way towards the balcony, I watch the others talk amongst themselves as they slowly left the building.
I looked up to the windows of Wendy's floor and saw a shadow run past the windows, "So is the dinner over?" Roy's voice came out of no where and I spun around grabbing his neck and pinning him to the balcony ground, "What is wrong with you?" I ask him and he shrugs. I let him go and looked back to the windows, "Why are we staring at windows?" Roy asks me and I glare at him, "There's something here, there's someone here. I just don't know who." I say.
