Ollivanders Wand Shop
Chapter 14
Molly let Martha steer her away throwing Pamela a sorrowful look which she recieved evidence by her small smile.
"I know a lot of things about that girl Molly Denses you don't want to be anywhere near her. I wish I was warned.." She sighed
Molly felt a little intruiged. True Pamela and Martha never spoke but does Martha really hate her? Why? And that's what she asked.
"Never you mind. Let's get you a wand then we'll nip to Madam Malkins on the way back. Mrs Stebbins is getting the rest."
So they walked to the shop in silence Martha fearful and Molly mesmerised by the shops around her.
"Here's our stop Molly." Martha muttered
Molly looked at the building that Martha was gazing at and peered inside the window.
"Oh my goodness!" She gaped
Boxes upon boxes were neatly piled one on top of the other into great towers almost reaching the ceiling. And in the midist of it all an old wrinkled man attending to an eager young wizard. Who just burnt half the store down with a feeble flick. Molly gasped but the elderly man just laughed and flicked his wand swishing it with a flourish. The fire was gone and all of his wands were back into the neat piles they were when Molly had first seen them.
"I remember when I got my first wand I somehow unloosened the screw in the chandelier and it fell on another customers head!" She recalled smiling.
"What?!" Molly cried startled "How-"
But she was suddenly diverted because the boy gave another quick flick but this time beautiful fire like spark flew out of his wand and the man looked thrilled
"Aahh.. Phoenix hair and Willow wood. What a powefull duo. That wand will serve you well Mr Mopose." He muttered his water probuerent eyes gleaming. Then he called
"Next!"
Martha passed her some galleons and whispered
"Good luck and don't set the place alight!"
Molly gave her a frightened look but Martha pushed her gently so she stumbled in.
"Aha! Your name madam?" The watery eyed man asked
"Molly." She murmered in a trembling voice "Molly Denses..."
The man nodded and eagerly skimmed the boxes and picked up a bendy wand and gave it to Molly.
"Try." He said encouragingly
Molly carefully took the wand and copied the boy before hers movements.
"AHHH!" She screamed for she had conjured a thunderstorm.
The man snatched his wand and performed a complicated movement crying
"Finite!"
Slowly the clouds faded and the lightining ceased.
"Hmm...... Not Unicorn Hair then..... Phoenix Feather?" He muttered pulling another wand of the shelf "Phoenix Feather and Elm. Try." Muttered the man cheerfully "Oh dear I haven't introduced myself I'm Garrick Ollivander.
"Nice to meet you Mr Ollivander."Replied Molly taking the Elm Wand. He nodded his eyes fixed on the wand. Noting his eagerness the girl obiediantly flicked the wand and all the shelves came tumbling down!
"Mr Ollivander I'm really sorry!" She cried whilst Mr Olliavander buised himself by levitating the fallen shelves and placing the wand cases back on them in steady piles
"Not a problem my dear. Right I think I have the exact wand for you my friend." Replied Ollivander looking amazingly unconcerned. He gave her another wand and gazed at her intently. Molly gave the wand a half-hearted flick and a little tingle ran up and down her veins like coffee in the early morning.
"Bravo! Rowan, Dragon Heartstring 11'5 quite swishy. Fantastic!" He cheered
Molly smiled nervously paid and ran out the shop. She got rather strange vibes from Garrick Ollivander. He treated his wands like children
"Molly!" Hissed a soft voice "It's Pam I don't have a lot of time meet me later spare room as soon as we get back."
But their was nobody there except an ectastic Martha.
"Well done Molly Dragon Heartstring is a great core!" She called blushing as passerbys stared. "Good for you!"
