He Heard It Through The Door
Chapter 7
Harry pressed his ear to the door. Someone inside was arguing. He was on his way to charms class, but he could stop for this.
"Professor, why do you even send me to that class?" a familiar voice said swiftly.
Was that-
"Miss Prewett, we can't have the other children suspicious of you," sighed McGonagall matter-of-factly.
It was Y/n. But why was she in there?
"But Professor- Why can't I even tell Harry and Ron and Hermione the truth?" Y/n said with just a hint of whining.
Harry heard a scraping of wood as McGonagall seemed to be getting up.
"I've told you, Miss Prewett. No one can know. Some people perhaps have- a different idea of a magicae non habet."
Harry thought about this. What was a Magicae non habbot? Habett? He didn't know. Harry made a mental note to ask Hermione later.
Y/n groaned with frustration. "Professor, I don't even care! It just means- well- you know what it means- and that's not important!"
Harry didn't know at all what Y/n was talking about or why she was talking about it to McGonagall. But it was definitely something important. Something very secretive was going on, and it didn't look good.
A/N: yayyyyyyyyyyyy sorry for the short chapter everyone, but I literally just woke up at 12:00 pm so I'm groggier than I've ever been. but anyways...
