Chapter 5: The 50 Galleon duel
¨Wake up.¨
A stern voice woke up Salazar, shocking him. He expected to wake up in his house, being robbed maybe.
Then he remembered what happened yesterday. Costa Rica, The Basilisk, The Beautiful Woman.
That Woman was now trying to wake him up, practically on top of him.
¨I told you to take it slow,¨ said Salazar.
Nerezza responded by slapping him.
¨Were going to town today.¨
¨But I want to capture the Bas-¨
¨No, you're not going after it. Not as long as I'm looking after you.¨
They got dressed and walked out of the house.
¨Are we walking,¨ asked Salazar.
¨Of course, how else am I supposed to get there,¨ Nerezza asked suspiciously.
Salazar grabbed her, and before Nerezza could protest, he apparated.
They apparated into the town. Nerezza didn't seem fazed. She seemed a little impressed, though. She must've known foreign Wizards had great magic.
They walked into the town, hearing yells. They went to investigate and saw people dueling. There were other people holding out galleons. Salazar wanted to do it.
¨Can I join?¨
¨I wouldn't advise-¨
¨Okay cool.¨
One of the people dropped and Salazar saw people collecting their Galleons.
Salazar went up to the winner.
¨I´ll duel against you.¨
He accepted.
They took their sides, Nerezza seeming a little worried. Many people voted for the winner of the last round, while some voted for Salazar. It seemed only some people knew about Hogwarts and its founders.
¨Start!¨
Salazar immediately disarmed the winner, but he missed.
¨Avada Kedavra!¨
Salazar was surprised that the man tried to kill him.
Two could play that game.
¨Expelliarmus!¨
Salazar hit him this time, and he immediately sent a killing curse at the Winner, hitting him in the face.
Many moans filled the air, while some cheers filled it.
It's still a record to this day in that town. 50 Galleons lost in one duel. Salazar continued to set and break records to the day he died. Every time he went back to Costa Rica, he dueled at that time.
And every time he went, Salazar was indeed proud of himself.
