Chapter 3: Close Calls

He was too late

The Basilisk struck.

¨Stupefy!¨

A voice that wasn't Salazars sent a stunning spell towards the Basilisk, hitting it in the eye.

Salazar Slytherin looked at the person.

It was a woman, with curly, black hair. She had brown eyes and a perfect body.

Salazar wouldn't say he was interested

but he was...

He looked back, the Basilisk looked ready to strike, but this time Salazar had time to talk.

¨Stop,¨ he said in Parseltongue

The Basilisk stopped, shocked he could speak Parseltongue.

The Woman looked just as shocked.

Salazar repeated himself.

The Basilisk wore off the shock and looked uneager to listen to Salazar.

This time Salazar stunned him.

The Woman grabbed his hand and ran out.

¨Hey, take things slow. I just met you,¨ He said stupidly before he could think.

She ignored his stupidity but didn't ignore his other stupid decision.

¨Why did you try to kill that thing?¨

¨I wasn't, I wanted to keep it.¨

¨As a pet?¨

¨No, as a guard.¨

She didn't press him further, but he knew she thought he was an idiot.

They didn't talk the rest of the way.
