It's A Different Kind of Like (A Blackinnon Fanfiction)
Whoo! It's been a mouthful for the Marauders, navigating throughout their journey. They battle life, love, and just a little sprinkle of magic here and there. All credits go to JK Rowling except for my own characters. (Please keep in mind that I do not support her views on the LGBTQIA+ community- I'm part of that community myself!)

Great Lake and Beyond
Chapter 7
Padfoot leaped over a fence. He twisted through a thicket of trees.
"Burpy- where are we going?" panted Marlene, racing behind him.
Padfoot- obviously- didn't answer. He just continued running through the trees. And then he came to a sudden stop.
Marlene skidded on the grassy hilltop slightly. She gasped. "Burpy- this is beautiful!"
They were standing on a green, grassy hill overlooking the Great Lake.
Padfoot woofed quietly and curled up into a ball on the ground.
Marlene smiled and took out her wand. "Stragulum Facere," she muttered.
A blanket floated from her wand. Marlene laid it on the ground and plopped onto it. Padfoot did the same.
"Why'd you bring me here, Burpy?" asked Marlene quietly.
Padfoot woofed.
"Really, though. Why did you?"
Padfoot thought about it. He had brought her here because it was his favorite place to unwind and relax. He thought about how Marlene could come here to relax too. He thought about how he might have- just maybe- helped Marlene. But then he thought that Marlene didn't know who really tried to help her. What should he do? Turning back into Sirius was easy. But turning back into Sirius with a person who didn't know about it? That was hard.
Padfoot just lay there on the fluffy blanket. Marlene scratched his ears.
"Now I really wish dogs could speak," sighed Marlene.
