Ah, How We Look Back On Our Old Selves
Chapter 13
It had been a year since the... incident.
Sirius and Marlene were now pretty good friends. Remus and Alice had started dating a couple months ago. James and Lily... well... they were just... James and Lily...
Sirius and James were sitting in the common room, procrastinating their homework and chatting.
"PADS!" groaned James. "Just freakin' ask her out!"
"Shut up, James..." sighed Sirius. "I don't even like her."
"YES YOU DO I CAN SEE IT IN YOUR EYESSSSSSSSS-"
Sirius gave him a look that said 'Dude-If-You-Don't-Shut-Up-Now-I-Will-Get-Evans-To-Punch-You'.
Before James could protest this, Alice and Remus entered the common room.
"Oooohhh," said James. " My OTP enters the chat."
Alice's smile flattened annoyedly. Remus' smile both looked annoyed and happy.
"Did someone just get kissed?" said Sirius, raising an eyebrow and looking at Remus' goofy smile.
Remus quickly shook his head.
"Someone's in denial," snorted a familiar voice entering the common room. "YOOOOO WASSUP MY FELLOW IDIOTS-" said Marlene.
Her curly, dirty blond hair puffed up around her face. She clearly hadn't brushed it or washed it in a while. Marlene's bright hazel eyes shined in the musty but happy common room.
Marlene just stood there, waiting for someone to respond to her awkward statement.
James smirked and stomped on Sirius' toes from under their robes. He wiggled his eyebrows.
Sirius squinted at him angrily.
Marlene glanced between this weird exchange.
"What's this?" she asked, gesturing between the two boys.
Sirius rolled his eyes and stuck out his tongue at James. "He didn't do his homework and he keeps wanting me to ask you to ask Lily to help him with it."
Marlene blinked. "Wow. First, that was one big sentence. Second? Lily'll never do that. Sorry to break it to you, James, but she hates you. Now, where's my OTP?"
Sirius and James glanced around. "Looks like they left."
They all glanced at each other for a second.
"We have horribly dirty minds..." sighed James.
