It's A Different Kind of Like (A Blackinnon Fanfiction)
Whoo! It's been a mouthful for the Marauders, navigating throughout their journey. They battle life, love, and just a little sprinkle of magic here and there. All credits go to JK Rowling except for my own characters. (Please keep in mind that I do not support her views on the LGBTQIA+ community- I'm part of that community myself!)

Hmm... Acquaintances?
Chapter 11
Marlene woke up groggily. Her eyes zipped around the room and saw hospital beds lining the walls. Suddenly, she started to remember last night's events and jumped up. Marlene glanced around the room and saw Sirius lying on a bed with his foot in a splint.
"Sirius?" she said, trying to scoot off the bed but instead feeling like someone had snapped her tailbone. Marlene hauled over a nearby chair in front of his bed. "SIRIUS ORION BLACK-"
Sirius woke up with a jolt. "Urghhhhhh..." he groaned. "I was sleeping..."
"I need you to tell me the truth," said Marlene sternly.
Sirius shuffled awkwardly in his bed. "Um..."
Marlene held up her finger. "And not just half of the truth, Sirius. The WHOLE truth."
There it was again. She had called him Sirius again. He shook it off and turned his attntion to the question.
"Well, it all started back in our second year..."
Back in their 2nd year...
Remus checked his watch. "Oh- um- I forgot to tell you- er- my mum is sick- I'm gonna have to leave for a while to see her..."
"Again, Remus?" sighed James. "This happens every month."
"Your mum alright?" asked Sirius consideratly, but still a little suspiciously.
"Yup- all good- she just- um... accidentally ate a Snargaluff Pod and thought it was a cashew- yup-" stammered Remus.
Peter cut in. "But Remus- Snargaluff Pods don't look like cashews!"
"She wasn't wearing her glasses?" said Remus hesitantly.
"OI BLACK-" shouted Marlene across the lake. "WHERE IS MY TRANSFIGURATION HOMEWORK?! I KNOW YOU STOLE IT, YOU LITTLE-"
Lily covered Marlene's mouth. "Shut up, Mar."
Marlene rolled her eyes a little, but she didn't continue her curse word filled sentence.
Sirius ignored Marlene as usual but still threw her homework across the lake. Being Sirius, he obviously didn't think it through and the homework fell into the lake.
Marlene squinted angrily at him. "I'LL GET YOU BACK FOR THAT, BLACK!!!"
Sirius shrugged and turned back to his friends.
"Er- I better get going-" said Remus quickly. "Bye!" And he zipped away.
The rest of the Marauders were suspicious. And after a while of talking, they realized Remus must be a werewolf. He disappeared every month. He always looked so exhausted. He was covered with scratchs and scars. So...
"You decided to be Animagi?" Marlene snorted. "What an idea."
Sirius shrugged. "Best idea we could get."
"Wait-" said Marlebe, realization dawning on her now. "That's why you kept sounding weird in our third year! You had Mandrake leaves in your mouth!"
"Yesh."
"I- what?"
"Nothing." Sirius hid a snort.
Marlene sighed. "So you really don't have a dog, do you?"
"Nope."
"Well," said Marlene, getting up from her chair and scooting like a worm back to her bed. "It was fun- well- decent- while it lasted."
Sirius smiled. "Very decent."
Marlene streteched her hand across the bed. "Acquaintances?"
Sirius shook her hand. "Very decent acquaintances."
