(Y/n’s pov) 

I woke in the morning then got ready and headed down to breakfast. Enzo wasn’t there which was unusual for him “Where’s Enzo?” I asked the boys 

“He wasn’t feeling the best” Theodore explained

“Oh, ok” 

I went to my morning classes then I went to lunch. Mattheo wasn't in the Great Hall so I went to look for him. I found him in the courtyard with some other slytherins and there were some Gryffindors there as well. Mattheo was fighting one of them and his face was covered in blood. I leaned against the wall of the entrance and watched him for a minute until he noticed me. He stopped and everyone in the courtyard, which was all boys, turned to look at me. I rolled my eyes “What do you want?” Mattheo asked 

“Nothing. Why would you think I need anything right now?” I asked 

“Then what are you doing here?” 

“Enjoying watching you getting beat up by a Gryffindor” I stated. He was about to get hit again but I waved my hand and the Gryffindor got thrown against the tree. The other Gryffindors ran to the guy who had just hit the tree. 

Mattheo looked at the guy then back at me and sighed “I need a drink” He muttered under his breath then started walking towards me. Some of the boys followed him. I stayed at the entrance. Once they were all gone I left and headed to the astronomy tower. Theodore was there, he glanced at me with a cigarette in his hand. 

“Hello Y/n” 

“Hi Theo” 

He smiled “You’ve been calling me Theo more often, is there a reason?” 

“It’s easier and quicker to say” 

“Hmm, you sure?”

“What other reason is there?” 

I couldn’t hear what he said because I heard that voice again. The eerie voice kept saying danger, over and over again. It was almost screaming into my head. I fell to the ground, Theo came down beside me and he put his hands on my shoulders “Y/n!” I could hear him shouting. The voice suddenly went away, what was that voice, why couldn’t anyone else hear it. Theo was practically shaking me, I looked into his eyes. I was breathing heavily and my mind was all over the place. He helped me up and I looked around and tried to calm myself, I looked back at Theo and then pulled him into a hug, his hands wrapped around me. 

(Theodore’s pov)

I wrapped my arms around her, trying to comfort her. What had happened. I didn’t want to let go of her but she pulled away and looked into my eyes, I could see fear in her eyes. “I’m here” I tried to comfort her “I will always be here for you, you know that, right? No matter what happens I will listen to you with no judgment” 

She nodded her head “Yes” She was about to say something else but then she closed her mouth “I got to go to class” She suddenly realized then left me. 

I decided to go to my classes then I went to dinner. I was talking with Mattheo when Y/n came over to us with the same look of fear that she had earlier. She sat down next to Mattheo and didn’t speak until Mattheo grabbed her hand and looked at her “What is going on Y/n?” He asked and Y/n looked down at her plate.

“I have been hearing things” she whispered just loud enuff so that only we could hear it

“What kinds of things? Is that what happened on the tower earlier?” 

“Yes, I have been hearing this voice in my head that keeps calling my name and saying other things, but it’s only ever one word. Like danger or curse”

“Is there anything else?” Mattheo asked 

She nodded slightly, still looking down at her plate “I don’t want to say it here, meet me in my room after dinner” She got up and left. 

After dinner we apparated to her room and she was out on her balcony, drinking. Mattheo went and grabbed the bottle out of her hand “Talk to us, tell us what's been going on?” I came up beside Mattheo and looked at Y/n, she looked like she had been crying. 

“You remember me last year when I couldn’t control myself and the year before when I blanked out as well?” She asked

“Yeah” We both replied 

“Well I constantly feel like… I want to do that kind of stuff, my mind and my body wants me to hurt people, to get into fights, to… smoke. I know it sounds weird and I hate to admit it because it’s not who I am but I just thought you should know. I don’t really know how to describe it the best” 

“Last year while you were your other self you mentioned something about how your other self is just who you want to be, it’s everything you try to cover up” Mattheo tilted his head at Y/n

“I don’t know who or what I want to be or be like, I’m still trying to figure out who I am, I’m still trying to figure out my own mind” She started shouting. Then she started breathing heavily and she fell to the floor and covered her ears. 

(Y/n’s pov)

The voice was in my head again, screaming at me. I tried to stand up and Mattheo helped me up then I went inside my room and grabbed my water and poured a vial into it then drank it. The boys looked at me “What was in that vial?” 

“Veritaserum” I answered 

“Why did you drink veritaserum?” Mattheo asked

“I don’t trust myself to tell the truth right now, I’m all over the place” I started “Mattheo please leave” 

“Why?” 

“Because I want to punch something right now and I am seriously considering it to be your face, sorry but it’s better to be safe than sorry” I was little all over the place, I had never felt like such a disaster.  

“Fine” He replied then left. I went to the bathroom and splashed water in my face. 

“Is there anything I can do for you?” Theodore asked “To help you” 

“Give me space for a second, you can go out onto the balcony for a bit if you want” 

“Ok” 

I paced around my room for a bit until I felt better then I went out to Theo, he looked at me. He had a cigarette lit like always. “How do you feel?” He asked 

“Like I want to-” I didn’t finish my sentence “Nevermind” I pulled him in and hugged him.
