Culinary Section

Chapter 6

Hello and welcome to the culinary section, which contains enticing recipes that the house elves at Hogwarts will let you cook in the kitchens or that you can try to create at home over the break.


This week, I'll share a recipe for a protein-rich breakfast that the House Elves from our Hogwarts kitchens generously provided. They have my sincere gratitude.


For this issue's dish, we have green eggs and salmon!


Allergens: Recipe may contain gluten, tree nuts, milk, fish and soy.


INGREDIENTS



  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tbsp skim milk

  • 30g baby spinach, coarsely chopped

  • 1 slice wholegrain sourdough bread, toasted

  • 25g smolked salmon slices

  • Seasoning (salt and pepper)


DIRECTIONS



  1. Whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined. Season.

  2. Heat a small non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Lightly spray with oil. Add the spinach and cook, stirring, for 1 minute or until just wilted. Add the egg mixture and cook, folding gently with a wooden spatula, for 2-3 minutes or until eggs are just set. Top the toast with the egg mixture and salmon. Season with pepper to serve.
