I wake up feeling sensational. It's a great feeling, it felt as if I were walking on air. Literally I can't express it in any other way.

The date was the 25th of December. The day of Christmas.

I am at Hogwarts for Christmas, as my family went to the Bahamas without me (I am still extremely mad). But I think I will be spending Christmas here at Hogwarts more than at home. I am no longer friends with Bethany, and we keep our distance. Personally I think it was for the best, and besides, I now have other friends.

My new friends and I are close. Like we-tell-everything-to-each-other close. My friends are:

Anne Woods

Belles Roberts

Adri Castle

We are the BFFs, like even though we just met.

Anne and I are partnered DADA (defense against the dark arts) and are doing good on our project. One thing I learned though, is she is stubborn. Very stubborn. Luckily, we agree on many things. She's really smart, and even though she is a Ravenclaw we see each other all the time.

I met Belles after we one a quidditch match. We were celebrating immensely and I happened to meet her at a bit of an award moment. Someone in the common room (*cough* Michelle *cough*) decided we should play some game where someone gos in a closet and kisses someone else. Anyway Belles some how got into that and was the one in the closet. Not everyone was doing the game, and I  was going to go upstairs to put my book away when I saw the other side of the closet door open (The closet has 2 doors in) and was going to close it when I saw someone in the closet. I was checking who it was when I saw they were kissing. It was awkward, but that was how I met Belles, and we have been BFFs since.She told me later she was forced to go into the closet. She's a Gryffindor like me.

Me and Adri met during Transfiguration. Shes a Ravenclaw as well, and it extremely intelligent. Anyway she and I got talking and suddenly became friends.

So I don't know how my friends all met each other but now we are all the best of friends.

Well back to Christmas. My friends and I all hung out together on Christmas eve. Since today is Christmas, you never know what the day is going to hold!

"Wake up!" I said to Belles throwing a pillow at her. The rest of our dorm was in the common room, but not us. "Whhhat? Ughhhhh...Do I have to?" She grumbled. "Um, yes, it's Christmas!" I nearly shouted. That made her wake up. She sat bolt up and grinned, "Why didn't you just say that?" "Ha ha, we have to open presents!" I said urgently. "Yep" was her reply before diving to her stack.

Her stack was slightly smaller than mine probably because she is a muggle born, but still it was pretty tall.

"Ok, you open 1 present right now then I will open 1 then you then me, ect." She said.

"Yes ma'am" I said before saluting.

It took us 5 minutes to stop laughing. Then we followed Belles plan.

I opened first. The present was from Belles.

I tore open the cute kitten wrapping paper that moved, and then held in my hand the greatest present on earth (and Mercury).

"No way!" I screamed.

What I was given was the thing I wanted the most. It was a copy of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them, along with Quidditch through the ages.

I hugged Belles "You are the best!" I squealed.

"Darn right, I am." She said lifting her head to the air.

That meant another 10 minutes of straight laughing.

"I think I went into my silent laugh" I gasped between laughs.

"Me too." She said before another fit of giggles came over her.

2 minutes later we were out of breath, and had a large case of the hiccups.

“Ok, lets finish opening presents or Anne and Adri will wonder where we are” I heaved.

She nodded, then grinned, “Beat you!” then laughing began to rip open all her presents.

“Unfair!” I said, “You got like a BIG headstart” but I too began tearing open all my presents.

"Haha" she taunted.

I smirked at her. "Done"

"What!" she exclaimed. Then looked over at me.

"I'll take that head start back" I grinned than began again to open the presents while she was distracted.

"Oh no you didn't!"

6 minutes later we had finished opening and began to look over what we got, as we didn't have the time to while we were racing.

"I got chocolate frogs, cauldron cake, bertie botts every flavor beans, a new quill, a few new books, and a Gryffindor pride shirt, from my parents." I told Belles.

"I got wizarding money, some muggle candy, a Gryffindor blanket, a pair of earrings, and a necklace, from my parents, but bless them, their muggles."

"Well those muggles have pretty good taste!" I said looking over her gifts.

"Yep, they do" She said, then she grabbed one of my chocolate frogs and continued while eating "They are teachers so I guess they understand, but I don't think they really get me." She sighed then took another bite "Luckily your parents gave you so much candy!" 

I laughed then said "My siblings all piled together to get me one thing"

"What?" Belles said eagerly.

"A nimbus 2002" I replied pulling it out.

"Oh" she said, "it's beautiful."

"Good thing you like it" I replied grinning, "because it is for you too."

I pulled out the tag and showed her, it read:

To Zia and her friend Annabelle (we figured her parents wouldn't know what to get her)

"Are you joking?"

"Nope"

"Ok"

"We should go meet Anne and Adri"  I said finally.

"Let's go!"

We ran to the Great Hall where Anne and Adri were talking.

"What took you guys so long?" Excaimed Adri.

Belles and I glanced at each other, hiding a grin.

"Lets just say part of it was due to laughing" I said.

Adri looked a little surprised but didn't pursue any further.

"Let's eat" Anne said.So we sat down at the table where all the professors were. Besides us there was only 4 kids. One 7th year, and one 5th year. Both were boys. Also my brother and his girlfriend sat at the table with us.

Over breakfast we all just talked. Anne accidentally spilled her orange juice and it happened to land on Mrs. Norris. Filch was by when it happened and was beginning to curse at Anne when Dumbledore said "Well I think everyone has enjoyed a bit of breakfast, so have a good rest of your Christmas!"

After that we all went up to the Gryffindor Common room and talked for about 2 hours before Anne shouted "I forgot!" "I can't believe I forgot!" she then ran all the way up to the Ravenclaw common room and came back breathing heavily. "We're good" she said happily. "What?" we all said together. Then we all burst out laughing.

Christmas was the best. Belles says that she is going to try out for Seeker next year. I told her I was going to try out for Chaser.

Overall my Christmas went up hill.

"Just wait 'til next year" I told Belles that night.

"What?" she said.

"Just wait" and with that I drifted off to sleep, a deep slumber.
