It's 3 days after half-term, I'm sorry for forgetting to do it when I was away in Devon (soooo nice btw).

What do I do?

Haha, omg that sounds way too wrong.

Seriously, I have to do this homework the best I can.

My English teacher loves me, and I'm the smart kid, so I have to keep my streak! Dumb pressure to do well. I log onto my school email and check the google classroom. Okay, analysis the first stanza of the poem we're studying, easy.

I grab my pen and English book, turn to a clean page and pause, my pen halfway to the paper. Where do I start? That the petals are a metaphor for the heart? That the rose is wilting like the body?

Oh, no. It's time to leave.

I'll just do this on the bus.

So...

The bus was full and I had to stand.

It's fine, I'll do it in form.

So...

There was an assembly in form.

Great, now I'm dead.

English is first period.

SHE'S SICK! I HAVE ANOTHER 5 DAYS FOR THE HOMEWORK! WOO HOOOO!

The supply, as usual, was trash, but, whatever.

I got to do easy work from booklets.

Obviously, I looked really smart because I finished them super quickly. What the supply didn't know is that we have done booklet work so many times that I have, like, memorised the answers!

While she was helping someone far away, I sneaked a peak at my phone. 13 messages on Instagram, 688 on WhatsApp, and, OMG, 27 new reviews on all my fanfiction and fiction! Woah, and 67 more people liked it and are now following it. Wow. I check AO3, hoping for a similar result. Okay, so the fanfiction is popular, because, you know, AO3 is more well-known for fanfiction, and the fiction is doing well enough.

I check my PMs on FictionPress and FanFiction. Oooh! Someone's asking for a collab. I check their profile, and there it is, author has written 57 stories for Romance, Humour, and Friendship.

Yessss! Okay, so they're 15 and live in London.

Oh no. What if I've seen them?

Oh wait, no I can't because I'm in class. Ugh. Okay, in... 9 minutes, that's when the class ends and we have lunch!

You will go on Monday and leave on Saturday. There are forms on the desk if you are interested. If not, do not take a form. Hand all your forms in to the English Office. The trip will be to Bath. WHAT?! YES! I can share a room with Kate!

I can't wait to tell her.

Okay, it's Spanish, haha, so, at lunch, this happened:

I walked up to Kate, okay, ran, and told her the good news.

"Um, Rach," she responded. "I can't. I'm busy on Saturdays."

"Oh, but you don't have to go that one time. It's just one thing."

"No, Rachael, I have so many clubs after school that we would waste so much money. Besides, my house would fall apart if I wasn't there." She's right. With 4 brothers and 2 sisters, Kate's house is like a jungle. She helps to do work around the house, like cooking and ironing (which is super dumb, btw). Without her, it would be a pig sty. "I'm sorry, Rach, I wish I could go, but you're going to have to find another roommate."

If only I could.

Sarah and Aoife would go together for sure, so they could stay up all night discussing anime and Genshin Impact, no doubt.

Lexie and Ruby would obviously be a pair.

So would Lucy and Chloe.

Megan and Mia are joint at the hip, obviously they are rooming.

So that leaves... Izzy!

OMG I LOVE THEM (yes, they've been my friend since, well, FOREVER! LOVE THEMMMMM!) HOW DID I FORGET ABOUT IZZY?

So, I grabbed my phone and started to text them.

Then I ran, like a crazy person, not checking my phone for a goodbye message from Izzy, to MFL.

And that's where we are now, sitting in a stuffy room with a dinosaur teaching us how to say words we will never need to know.
