“Meow!” I cried, I forgot humans can’t understand me. 

“Mom! Please don’t leave!” I cried, pause, do I really need my family? Never mind, unpause.

“It’ll be okay, baby!” my mom called as she was being lifted away in a box. 

I have to save them, as I’m about to jump, I yell, “I love you Mom!” and jump onto the moving van, “I got you.”

I grabbed my mom’s paw, “Oh no,” I hesitated, “now we're both stuck...”

With a half-smile, “Merry Christmas Mom…”
