Quinn got out his stash of sweets and brought out Harri's favourites, Bertie Bots Every flavour beans. He got some flowers from a nice boy from the greenhouse. He put it on the end of Harri's bed in medbay. Her forehead had a huge scar on it running down to her cheek. 

"You saved her life, y'know," Heather appeared next to him. Quinn nodded. Heather turned around and her hand breifly touched his. He blushed and carried on looking at Harri. She was looking at something out of the window. The matron shooed them out and they giggled a the sight of her so flustered.

Heather said bye and went to her form room, Quinn went back to the lake and sat down. The sunset reflected on the lake and he felt something change inside him. He took his cloak off and dived in. The cold water swirled around him but it didn't harm him. His vision became unblurred and he breathed in the water like it was air. A shimmering tail swam infront of his face. 

He tried to follow it but the tail swam out of reach. Quinn tried to touch it with his hand but he couldn't see it any more. The moon came out and lit up the whole lake. The shimmering tail came from a mermaid, she glanced back at him and rocketed away.
