Chapter 1
The Hogwarts journey chapter 1: my name is Cassidy Freeman and I am 11 years old. I sat in my room reading the chronicles of Narnia when I heard the doorbell ring. I went downstairs to find a really short man who was wearing what looked to be robes with a hat. He introduced himself as Professor Flitwick and handed me a letter. I opened it to reveal an acceptance letter which read: dear Miss Freeman, we are pleased to inform you that you have been excepted at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. Please find enclosed all necessary books and equipment. Turn begins on September 1 and the Hogwarts Express Leaves kingscross station at platform 9 3/4 at 11 AM. We look forward to your arrival and await your Al no later than July 31. Yours sincerely, Minerva McGonagall, Deputy headmistress. I found the book list which read: the standard book of spells grade 1, magical theory, a beginners guide to transfiguration, 1000 magical herbs and fungi, magical drafts and potions, the history of Magic, the dark forces: a guide to self protection, in fantastic beasts and where to find them. I found my equipment list which read: three sets of plain black work robes, one black cloak with silver fastenings, one black wizards hat, one pair of dragon high gloves, one standard size 2 pewter cauldron, one set of crystal files, one set of brass scales, and one telescope. I remembered all the times that I made weird things happen. I need to learn to control them. I wrote on the back of the letter a confirmation for attending the school. I handed it to Professor Flitwick and he promised to come back the next day to take me to go shopping. I couldn’t wait for what the future held.
