Wands & Mortar & Pestles
Wands have the capability of channelling our magic. Francois Armand discovered Apple wand wood in the 1700s. Garrick Ollivander discovered Unicorn Hair, Dragon Heartstring, & Phoenix Feather cores. Mykew Gregorovitch owned the Elder Wand for a time & due to this, Gellert Grindelwand & Voldemort tracked him down for it. Mortar & Pestles are used to grind substances into a paste or powder & have been around since 35,000 B.C.E. Powaga Zoraida invented a mortar cleaning charm. The most common mortars are wood, clay, & stone.
Essential Oil Steam Distillers, Crucibles, & Sand Baths
The essential oil steam distiller is used to pluck out the oils by steaming them. Zosimos of Panopolis wrote about distilling divine water & panacea. The three distillers are water distillation, water & steam distillation, & straight steam distillation. The crucible is used to melt objects & is very common in alchemy. In the Middle Ages in Germany, the hessian crucible was discovered. It was made out of the mullite. The graphite crucible & the Gooch crucible are other types of crucibles. Sand baths are used to circulate temperatures evenly in each compartment. The heat can be from a fire, a spell, or a hotplate & the heat ranges between 550 degrees to 1500 degrees.
