Ollivander’s Wand Shop
Chapter 3
"Wow!" I breathed, staring around. In front of me was a beautiful street. It sold peculiar but amazing things.
"Welcome to Diagon Alley!" A passing wizard said. He looked very friendly.
"Are they all this friendly?" I asked Barnaby as we walked over to where Barnaby was taking me.
"Of course!" He grinned. "Really, really nice people until you go the wrong way and find yourself in Knockturn Alley."
"What's bad ab-"
"I'll tell you one day." He sighed and it sort of sounded like he had been to Knockturn Alley once.
"Oh-well... OK then."
"Look!" Barnaby whisper-shouted excitedly.
"Wha- Wow!" We were standing by the entrance of a tall building. There was a rusty sign that said: Ollivander's Makers Of Fine Wants Since 382 BC
"Are we going to go inside?" I asked, though I immediately regretted this silly question.
Thankfully, Barnaby didn't comment on it. "Yep, but let's wait for Mum and Dad first."

"Ah, well done, you found it!" Dad grinned.
"What we're you doing?" asked Barnaby.

"That's awesome and I'm sure she'll make a nice friend for Lily but can we get her wand now?" Barnaby pleaded and I looked at him gratefully.
"Of course."
"Ah, of course." An old man was standing by his desk. In his shop were many boxes in different shades of grey, red, blue and green. "Amanda and Robert Blaze. And Barnaby."
"Hello, Ollivander!" Barnaby said cheerfully.
"Hello! This our daughter, Lily!" Mum said.
"Hmm..." Ollivander stared at me. "Yes... maybe." He kept muttering to himself. "Try this."
I picked up the wand and simply swished it. It set fire to the table.
"Augamenti!" Ollivander pulled out his own wand and water put the flames out."
"Oh! I'm really sorry!"
"It's alright. Ash just isn't for you. Or was it the core?"
We went through a lot of wands, until at last I swished it and the room was filled with sparks, but this time in a good way.
"Very good!" Ollivander clapped loudly. "Fir, unicorn hair core, 13 inches long, slightly yielding. Have a good year!"
"Where next?" I asked.
"Equipment." Barnaby said
