Hogwarts Letter
Chapter 2
Five Years Later
"Swift. Food." I gloomily walked out into our garden. It was only six in the morning but I couldn't sleep because I was so sad. My parents told me that as it was a week after my Birthday, I would most likely not be invited to Hogwarts. Swift didn't bounce up to me and snatch the food out my hands. Instead, he was barking at something. He leaped back and kept barking and I saw he had been play fighting with a Barn owl which had been pretending to peck at him, though it looked rather annoyed. That's when I saw a letter tied to it's leg. I saw a symbol. Black badger, bronze eagle, gold lion and silver snake. I didn't know what it meant. I took it anyway. Only the worst news could dampen my spirits. Inside was an acceptance note into Hogwarts! I went to go inside until I found another piece of parchment. It seemed to be a list. It said:

Well, I had a copy of Fantastic Beasts and One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi.
"MUM! DAD! I'M A PROPER WITCH! I GOT MY LETTER!" I shouted, as I burst through the door to the living room.
"Oh, I always knew you would get it!" My Dad called. "Well, to be honest, that's a lie but you've got it now!" Then he gasped. "Term starts today! We have to hurry and get your equipment!"
A painful two hours of waiting passed by until we reached a brick wall. Barnaby pulled out a medium-sized, dark-brown stick which had delicate patterns. I guessed it was his wand. He tapped the bricks revealing the strangest but most beautiful thing I had ever seen.
