The Halloween Ball
Chapter 16
"Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, I'm so nervous." Melody was jumping around the girl's dormitory.
"I'm more nervous about getting there on time." I moaned. "Why is there only one changing room?"
It was 7:20 and everyone was quite stressed about getting there on time.
7:25.
7:30.
7:35.
7:40.
"Lily, you can go in now!" Called Leona.
"OK!"
It took me five minutes to change.
"We still have fifteen minutes to look at each other's outfits!" Melody laughed. She was wearing a black dress which went just above her feet and her wavy blonde hair was in a high ponytail. Leona was in a slim purple and dark blue dress. The purple went just below her knees and the blue went about six centimetres below the purple. Her light brown hair was curled and she kept it down. I was wearing a light orange dress about the same length as Melody's and it had short green sleeves. My hair was in its normal ponytail except it was a bit higher.
"Come on." Leona walked out of the room and we followed. I met Dylan downstairs. He was wearing a black suit with red edges.
"Hi, Dylan." I said nervously.
"Hey."
At last, it was 8:00 and the doors opened. It was the best thing ever. We could eat all sorts of Halloween-ish food such as candy corn, bread, and eyeball cupcakes. The drink was pumpkin juice but there was also butterbeer. There was also music to dance to and everyone's outfits looked great. The dance went on until midnight when everyone had to go up to bed.
"Bye, Lily!"
"I'll see you tomorrow!"
That was the best Halloween ever.
