The next day, the hours whizzed by and we hadn't told anyone about the incident, not even Dylan. At dinner Professor Dumbledore stood up. "First years, you will be having your first Astronomy lesson today. They will take place in the Astronomy Tower at midnight."   
"A lesson at midnight?" Dylan looked shocked but excited.   
"I know!" I exclaimed.  
At 11:45, I got changed into my robes and brushed my hair before meeting Leona and Dylan outside.  
"Melody will be here soon." Dylan tutted looking at his watch, which now said 11:50. "Sorry, should be here soon."   
"I'm here!" Melody gasped coming up.    
"Took ya long enough." Leona joked as we walked to the spiral stairs. We walked down and eventually found the staircase that led to the tower. We walked up slowly.   
"It is now excactly midnight and we shall begin." Our professor, Professor Sinistra said.     
It was very interesting. We got to talk as we observed the sky, and as there was no set topic, we could look at anything we wanted and mark it on a list. It was going smoothly until a Slytherin with short, light brown hair screamed.    
"What is the problem, Miss-" Then Sinistra gasped.   
Everyone looked down, shocked and scared. About twenty dark, hooded creatures were floating towards the Astronomy Tower.  
"Dementors!" I shouted.   
"Albus!" Sinistra looked over as Dumbledore entered the room. He had obviously been woken by the screams. "Dementors!"   
"Don't worry." Dumbledore said in his deep, calm voice. He pulled out his thin brown wand. "Expecto Patronum!" A graceful, silvery blue Phoenix emerged from his wand and pushed the Dementors back whilst a silver unicorn patronus galloped around them. They flew over the castle walls and we were safe.   
"Thank you Albus. Now, everyone, that was a very... interesting lesson but now it has come to a end."   
The two adults and the class trooped back upstairs, chattering and yawning.
