PTS-101 week 3

  • the most iconic potion tool is the cauldron

  • sometimes potioneers have to mumble to their cauldrons to get the potion right

  • Pewter is best for beginners all hogwarts students should have a size two pewter cauldron

  • Brass, brew potions at a medium speed, slightly more expensive than pewter

  • Copper, is the fastest cauldron for brewing only a skilled witch or wizard should use a copper cauldron.

  • silver is one of the best cauldrons to use although very expensive and rare

  • the fire crab also is a wonderful cauldron

  • tools you may find in a potions lab include, scales, measuring cups, a ruler, a sharp knife, a cutting board and a stiring ustensil.

  • a measure contains approximately 40mls of material

  • make sure you have a cauldron cleaner

  • important to follow the instructions

  • good idea to prep ingredients

  • always add ingredients in the correct order
