She Has Left Them
Chapter 24
‘Quick! Clearwater, Draco!’ Snape said, as he grabbed Amelia and Draco by the scruff of their neck and headed to the door. By the door, the Order of the Phoenix were standing there. They let them pass as they started fighting the Death Eaters that were in the tower.
‘What about Isabell and Olivia and Rhi-’ began Amelia.
‘Go!’
Draco and Amelia nodded quickly and they ran towards the Forbidden Forest.
Meanwhile, Olivia and Isabell were fighting Death Eaters. Olivia was fighting Thorfin Rowley and Isabell, along with Albert, was fighting Bellatrix.
‘STUPEFY!’ Olivia yelled as she had just dodged the killing curses that Rowley kept shooting.
The spell hit Rowley squarely in the chest as he collapsed on the floor.
Just next to them, Bellatrix was continuously blocking spells and sending killing curses.
‘Fight harder, you pathetic children!’ she laughed maniacally. She kept blocking all the curses they sent.
‘EXPELLIARM-’
‘STUP-’
‘PETRIFICUS TOTA-’
‘LOCOMOTOR MOR-’
‘AGUAMENTI!’
Isabell conjured a flood of water on Bellatrix. Albert gave her a thumbs-up. Isabell then made the water in a circular shape and Bellatrix was inside, gasping for air. Isabell yelled and collapsed, along with the spherical shaped-water splashing as Bellatrix was on the floor, wet and wide eyed. As they were running away, sending hexes and curses, Fenrir Greyback bit Isabell’s leg. She screamed as he dragged her to a window. Isabell saw that the fall would be about 100 feet. Fenrir let go of her leg and yelped. Olivia was standing there, holding Fenrir by his arms. She used a spell on him which made him shrink. She tried to step on him but he fled.
‘That’s what you get for almost killing-’
Isabell screamed as she lost balance. She was falling, the air making her deaf as she couldn’t hear her own screaming. She continued falling… falling… falling… The rough ground getting closer… closer… closer…
Fire emerged under Isabell. Isabell looked horrified as she landed on the blazing fire. Only it was cold. The fire slowly reached the floor and turned into orange sparks. Isabell’s feet touched the floor. She saw in front of her… a dragon. Not just any dragon, it had shiny red scales and emerald green eyes. The dragon started shrinking and shrinking until Olivia was standing there, panting.
Isabell hugged her tightly. But then Isabell spotted a body on the floor. It was someone with red shoulder length hair, broad shoulders, fang earrings and scars on his handsome face. He seemed unconscious.
‘Bill Weasley,’ Olivia said softly. ‘One of Ron’s brothers.’
Isabell gasped.
‘We have to get him to the Hospital Wing!’ she said.
Isabell made Bill float gracefully inches from the damp grass. They saw shadows across Hagrid’s hut. Five tall and two slightly shorter. Another shadow was chasing after them and was shooting spells at one of them, who yelled, ‘You dare use my own spells against me, Potter?’
Olivia and Isabell glanced at each other, that voice was immediately recognizable.
‘That’s right. I am the Half Blood Prince!’
Snape used a spell which made the other shadow fall back on a tree. One of the shadows set fire on Hagrid’s hut. There was growling and yelling.
‘Hagrid!’ Olivia yelled as she let go of Isabell and ran as fast as she could to the hut.
A stretching arm stopped her. Albert shook his head as the fire was spreading. A huge shadow with a flowery pink umbrella conjured water and it splashed loudly on the burnt hut. The fire took a few moments to cool down and finally completely extinguished. Albert used his wand and Bill followed him. The two girls followed him quickly. The battle had ended and thankfully nobody had died. All the Death Eaters had gone and there were several injured students as well as teachers. Madam Pomfrey was going back and forth checking on students and giving them antidotes.
‘By the way, Snape killed Dumbledore,’ said Isabell breathlessly, yet sadly as Olivia held her as they climbed the stairs to the Hospital Wing.
‘He what?’ Olivia yelled, letting go of Isabell who fell on her leg and yelled in pain.
‘Sorry, but I thought Draco was the one who killed Dumbledore, or at least Dumbledore didn’t die!’ said Olivia, breathing quickly.
‘No, Snape killed him,’ said Isabell, shrugging as though it was nothing.
‘So you’re telling me that Dumbledore died?’ said Albert, glaring at Isabell.
She nodded quickly as they entered the Hospital Wing, with many beds occupied.
‘No… Dumbledore can’t have died! And Dumbledore trusted that serpent Snape!’ Olivia said, shaking her head in disbelief.
All of the people on the occupied beds were sleeping peacefully. Isabell, with her wand, placed Bill on the bed nearest the door to the Hospital Wing. Isabell lied on one of the beds, her leg painful. Olivia was walking back and forth, both her hands on her pale face. Albert sat down on a wooden chair sighed sadly. There was long silence-
‘OH! BILL!’ a voice shrieked as the doors banged open, revealing a slightly plump woman.
She had red hair and looked pale like Olivia. Behind the woman, there was a man with similar red hair and had the same expression as the woman.
‘Mrs. Weasley. Mr. Weasley,’ Olivia said stiffly as she lowered her head.
‘Oh, thank you for bringing him here!’
Mrs. Weasley sat on the chair, which Albert gave her. She stroked her son’s wet hair. Another person appeared from the door. She was the most beautiful girl that might have ever existed. Silver-blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes. She ignored everyone and rushed to Bill. She was shivering as she put a shaking hand on his forehead.
‘What ‘ave zey done to my future ‘usband?’ she said softly.
‘Fenrir Greyback attacked him,’ Isabell explained, noticing that the scars were caused by a werewolf.
Silence took over the surroundings once again. The silence was broken when Harry, Ginny (Ron’s sister), Ron and Hermione came in. Olivia conjured chairs for everyone to sit.
‘What happened?’ Ron asked, wincing at Bill’s badly injured face.
‘Bill was fighting apparently. He was helping. But then Fenrir Greyback attacked him…’ Albert said, looking down.
Ron came closer to his sleeping brother. The girl with silver-blonde hair was still putting her hand on Bill’s forehead. Madam Pomfrey barged in and immediately went to her office without even turning her head towards their direction. She got a container that had a sticky green goo in it. She reached Bill and started dabbing the goo at his injuries.
‘Give me zat!’ the girl said, snatching the container from Madam Pomfrey’s hands.
The girl dabbed the goo at Bill’s injuries gently and nobody talked for what seemed to be ten minutes or an hour. After a while, Professor Mcgonagall stormed in, her hair sticking out and she had a big gash on her cheek.
‘Is it true? Is it true that Dumbledore… that he- he…’
Harry nodded.
‘No…’ Professor Mcgonagall said as she collapsed into a chair that Olivia conjured.
‘Where’s Amelia?’ Hermione asked.
Olivia and Isabell looked down. Amelia had left them.
‘She went with the Death Eaters,’ Albert said.
Hermione clasped her hands to her mouth.
‘Dumbledore eez dead?’ the girl asked.
‘Yes, Fleur. He is,’ Mrs. Weasley said, as she tried to take the goo from Fleur, but she didn’t allow her to.
Minutes later, Hagrid came in. His eyes were puffy and red. He had a dirty handkerchief and blew his nose loudly. Olivia patted his elbow as that is what she could reach.
‘Got the body, Professor,’ he said, jerking his head towards Mcgonagall. ‘Put ‘im in the grave. Job’s done.’
He blew his nose very loudly.
‘Thank you Hagrid. Dumbledore always trusted you to be an amazing gamekeeper.’
Mcgonagall smiled kindly. Hagrid blew his nose again and dabbed his puffy eyes with the handkerchief.
Professors Flitwick, Slughorn and Sprout came in a few moments later.
‘Dumbledore’s dead…’ Professor Sprout said softly.
Everyone nodded.
‘What do we do about the children? Hogwarts isn’t safe anymore without Dumbledore!’ Professor Flitwick squeaked.
‘Dumbledore wanted the school to always be open!’ boomed Hagrid.
‘Parents won’t allow their children to come anyway,’ said Professor Slughorn.
‘Hagrid is right though, we’ll open the school to any student, even if it is only one,’ said Professor Mcgonagall as the rest of the Professors nodded.
‘What about Dumbledore’s funeral?’ Harry suddenly asked.
The teachers stayed silent. Professor Flitwick broke the silence.
‘The students would want to pay their respects to Dumbledore! What if the students start leaving after the funeral instead? Dumbledore is… I mean, was a great man and he deserves all the love and respect in this world!’
Professor Mcgonagall considered this.
‘Who-who killed Dumbledore again?’ Professor Sprout asked quietly.
‘Snape,’ Harry said angrily and he clenched his fists.
‘Dumbledore trusted Snape! I taught Severus myself!’ Professor Slughorn said.
Madame Pomfrey burst into tears. Hermione shushed her.
‘Snape-Snape was always such a poor boy and-and-’ Madame Pomfrey burst into tears again.
‘Poor boy? Poor boy? He is a murderer now!’ Harry said.
‘He wasn’t a murderer before!’ Hermione said.
‘You’re supporting a murderer now, Hermione?’
‘Enough!’ Professor Mcgonagall said. ‘The minister is coming now, I have to arrange the funeral.’
She exited the room. Silence didn’t.
