Y/n Riddle (Book 1)

written by Astrid R Jade

Y/n is the youngest sibling in the Riddle family to her two older brothers. Thomas, the oldest and 5 years ahead of y/n and is the most like her father and is the strictest of them all. Mattheo, the middle child, is 2 years ahead of y/n and gets in the most trouble. When y/n starts her first year at Hogwarts she wants to keep her last name secret and not be treated differently because of her name, but Thomas and Mattheo don’t help at all with her plan, they could care less what people think about them, I bet it would make them happy to know they are feared. This book is finished: Started June 1st- finished June 28th 2022. I am currently working on a second book.

“You can go to dinner if you want” I told Indu

“Really?” she asked

“Yeah, why not”

“Great, but I will be back after I’m done eating”

“Great, see you then” I waved goodbye to her as she left and Thomas arrived

“Hello sister” He greeted

“Hello Thomas” I replied then Mattheo walked into the room and saw us and came over. Thomas eyed him.

“Y/n” Mattheo greeted, nodding his head at me. “Thomas” He glanced at Thomas then sat down.

We started talking and Mattheo told Thomas what he had told me earlier and Thomas nodded his head as Mattheo talked.

Once he was finished I asked him “How did you know to look in the forest?”

“I didn’t but we couldn’t find her anywhere else and Theodore had a feeling she would be in there” He explained

“Was there any other student in your year that you noticed wasn’t there during the feast or someone who was acting suspicious?” I questioned

“No, and I only really pay attention to the Slytherins and they were all there”

I looked at Thomas “no one from his year but a year below mine, a 5th year, his name is Aiden. He wasn’t at the feast and came back to the common room a little before you did” He nodded towards Mattheo “But I don’t think he would ever kill someone. I could have been him but I doubt it”

“How about in your house, is there anyone… weird in your house?” Mattheo asked

“Everyone is weird in their own ways but my house is full of weirdos don’t even get me started, but none of them would kill anyone, or harm anyone. Unless it's by being smacked accidentally by a book”

“Accidentally?” Thomas asked

“Yeah, this morning two guys were playing catch with a book, I almost got hit, don’t ask”

“I wasn’t going to” He replied

“So are we back at a dead end?” Mattheo asked

“Quick question, do you know a first year Slytherin named… what was it, oh Hunter?”

“I have talked with him once, wasn’t that interesting, why?”

“He seemed weird, I know this may sound weird to you but he didn’t talk all class and then at the last minute couldn't stop talking to me, plus I think he was trying to get me to like him and he was failing tremendously. I mean like what's his problem”

“He wants attention, word of advice, don’t let him have it” Mattheo whispered

“I didn’t, I left him in the dust as soon as the bell rang” I looked at Mattheo “Are you still trying to break into wherever it is you were trying to get into?”

Mattheo glared at me then looked at Thomas “No, that was a dumb Idea”

“You were trying to break into somewhere?” Thomas asked disapproved

“Yes, I was, keyword was, as in in the past” He looked away

Theodore walked into the library and caught my glance and came over to us. He looked at Mattheo “Another girl was killed” He reported

“What?, Where?” Mattheo asked, standing up. Thomas glanced at me.

“The courtyard” He replied

“Did you see or hear anything?” Thomas asked, still sitting down

“I heard someone, I think it was a boy say the killing curse then I heard her scream, I waited a minute or two until I heard footsteps walking away then I went and saw her, she was dead” Theodore explained

“Do you know who the girl was?” Mattheo questioned

“No, she looked like a first year student, a Hufflepuff”
