(Y/n’s pov) 

The rest of the break went by fast and soon all the students were back at Hogwarts, including the ones that had left because of Dominique. The second term started, classes were optional but they were recommended for people who didn’t want to repeat their year. I had already learned everything plus some things from the other years so I didn’t go to classes. Thomas, Mattheo, and Theodore went to classes though. So I was alone most school days except for breakfast, lunch, and dinner when I got to see them. 

February came and left and march was already flying past. My birthday was a week ago on the 13th. I got a couple gifts. I had been looking at Mattheo’s drawings, one of my favorites was a dagger that he drew for me. Ever since I got him his dagger I had started liking them because I thought they looked cool. For my birthday Mattheo gave me a card with the drawing of the dagger then he got one customized that looked exactly like the drawing. It looked like his, only the dagger was silver with gold instead of black and crimson and the handle was white, blue, and green and it had a blade cover as well. 

This year they decided to have a spring dance and no matter what year you're in you could go. I didn’t think much about it. I made my way to the library to meet Indu. We had been studying together and taught her everything I learned from Thomas. She was planning on taking the test at the end of the year as well. We also just took time to talk since we didn’t really get to talk about all that had happened in the first half of the year. She was different then I thought she would be. She was funny and a bit sneaky once you got to know her, she also knew a lot of drama. I entered the library and went over to her. She smiled when she saw me. 

“Hello Y/n” She greeted

“Inud” I replied “What are you reading?” 

“A book on magical creatures” She answered 

“Fun” I replied. She closed the book and looked back up at me. 

“So, are you excited about the dance?” She asked 

“Sorta, did anyone ask you?” 

“No, but I am thinking of asking a boy”

“Ooo, do tell, who is this boy?” 

“His name is Nathan, he’s another first year Ravenclaw, he’s really smart and sweet but I would feel weird asking him because the boys usually ask” 

“I say you should do it, don’t wait for the boy to ask when you can ask yourself” I replied 

“Thanks, did anyone ask you yet or are you thinking of asking anyone?”

“No one has asked me yet but I don’t care if I do or not, I always can dance with my brothers” 

“That’s kinda sad” She eyed me

“It’s not sad, they are gentlemen, or at least Thomas is and Mattheo can be at times. Even if they are my brothers, they are like my best friends as well” 

“Well I am going to go, I have to go do something real quick, but what if he says no?” 

“Then I will go with you” She blushed and left the library and I smiled. 

A few minutes later she comes back into the library and rushes over to the table “He said yes, he actually said yes!” She practically shouted. Someone shushed her and I glared at them. 

“Congratulations!” I replied “You got yourself a boyfriend” 

“He’s not my- actually maybe he is” We both laughed then left for lunch. I parted ways with her and went to sit with my brothers and Theodore. 

“What’s got you in such a good mood” Mattheo asked 

“Just happy for a friend” I said looking at Indu sitting next to Nathan 

“Indu?” Thomas asked 

“Yes” I nodded my head 

“So what happened?” Mattheo asked 

“She asked a boy to the dance and they said yes, she’s really happy” 

“She asked him?” Mattheo questioned

Thomas and I glared at him “Yes, the girl can ask the boy, these nothing wrong with that” 

“So are you going to ask anyone” Thomas asked 

“I don’t know” I replied honestly I shrugged then started eating. 

After lunch I went up to the astronomy tower. Mattheo had a free period and wanted to go to the library. When I got up to the astronomy tower I found someone else already up there. They were smoking but it wasn’t anyone I knew. They turned to look at me and smiled “Hello little girl, first year” 

I frowned “Don’t call me little” I said 

“Why not? You can’t hurt me if I say it, your just a first year” 

“Who are you?” I asked 

“My name doesn't matter, what matters is that I can hurt you and I am a Death Eater”

“Oh then by all means, omg! I’m so scared of you” I said sarcastically 

“Your stupid” He commneted 

“No, I’m a Ravenclaw” I replied “Let’s start over. My name is Y/n, Y/n Riddle, I bet you have met my father, and possibly my brothers. As if I called him Mattheo appeared at the door, I turned to face him “You have excellent timing Mattheo” 

Mattheo looked at the boy in front of me. What did he do? Mattheo asked through the link. He called me a little first year and threatened me saying he was a Death Eater and I clearly know he is not I explained. Well in that case can I punch him? Sure I replied and turned around and looked out over the castle grounds. 

A few minutes later he came over to me “Happy now?” I asked 

“Maybe a little less angry, less stressed” 

“Is he dead or did you leave him alive?” 

“He’s probably going to be in the hospital wing for a week or so” 

“Ok” Was all I said

“Can I ask you a question?” 

“You just did but sure you can ask me another” 

“It’s more of a statement but I have just noticed you have been more ok with violence since Christmas, what changed?” 

“I don’t really know, my mind is all over the place, I constantly feel angry but I have no way to get my anger out without punching someone then fainting or gagging, I know it sounds weird but I guess I’m changing, I mean before Hogwarts I never really saw much of anything to went anywhere, I was always forgotten. Most of how I acted and saw the world was what I took from books and I never got to live and find out who I truly am. I guess I am just trying to figure that out” 

He nodded his head “I understand, and I am here if you need anything, I just don’t know how good of a role model I am” 

I laugh “Yeah, I think Thomas wouldn’t want you to be a role model for me”

“You know, thinking about it and talking with Thomas and Theodore about it, you share traits with both of us. You're smart, kind, and you fight with your wit and words more than you do with your hands and wand like Thomas. But then you also like daggers, you like my drawings even if you're terrible at drawing yourself, and you have anger like me but you don’t actually hurt people like me even if you want to. You also roll your eyes a lot like me even if you don’t notice it. But then you also have some things that are special about you, you can resist the imperius curse, you can make things fly with the wave of your hand, plus you have never purposely got drunk, smoked, or tryed to kill yourself” 

“But I technically got drunk and smoked” 

“That was not really on purpose” 

“True, but they still did happen” 

“Hey, I was talking to Olivia the other day, she seems nice, are you two friends?” Mattheo asked

“I guess, why were you talking to her?” 

“I was drawing like I usually do and she saw them and we started talking, she likes drawing too”

“Do you have a crush on her?”

“No, I was just wondering cuz I have seen you talking before” 

“Are you sure?” 

“Yes I am sure” 

Just then Olivia appeared at the door ran over to me then pulled me to the other side of the tower “I need to talk to you” 

“What?” I asked 

“I’m in a bit of a predicament. Jamal asked me to the dance but I don’t want to go with him and I was thinking of asking someone else” she said without stopping to breathe. “But I don’t know if the person who I want to ask is going to say yes and I don’t think they even like me so I don’t think they would ask me, what do I do?” 

“Who do you want to ask?” 

“Uhh… I don’t think you would know him, he’s a Hufflepuff” 

“I say, if you like him then go ask him and if he says no then I guess there's always Jamal, I have never really been in a relationship soo” 

“Ok, thanks” She left

I walked back to Mattheo “Let me ask you something, do you have a crush on anyone?” He asked 

“Yes” I replied 

“Who? Is it Theodore?”

“No, I don’t want to talk about it”
